so i watched the playthrough of cube escape root and it fills up the plot that was lacking for me. its plot is fucked up and i have to share. warning: plot include death, suicide and other wretched stuff.

so first there are two alchemist brothers, aldous and william, who brewed elixir of life, which granted them either immortality or instant death. william drinks first and die. aldous drinks afterwards and becomes a crow-headed man (from here on will be referred to as mr crow). he then assure his brother that he will be ressurected.

mr crow the somehow gave the formula and a seed to their nephew, james. james just arrived to his new house with a dog. james planted the seed and it grew up to be a tree, though i’m not sure of its significance yet. he then proposed to his love, mary, by making her nosebleed and write in her blood, then with a ring from a severed hand inside a cabinet, whoseever that was. she soon gave birth to triplets, albert, emma, and samuel. albert had a birthmark on his head and was given wine to drink, wtf. emma was given rainwater and sammuel was the only one who was given milk. well, not directly from her tits; she squeezed into a bottle first.

as children, they once played together and wanted to catch a butterfly. samuel used a slingshot and emma used a honey trap to catch the butterfly successfully, to which albert was angry. he wanted to snatch the jar with the butterfly from emma, but was shoved by her instead. samuel then hit the beehive with the slingshot, and it fell down on albert’s head, causing him a large permanent scar. while the two other siblings were laughing at him, he was angered and wanted them dead.

emma grew up to like flowers, it seems, and she once cross-bred 4 flowers, which combined and become one that glimmered like fireflies. the glimmering pollens (i guess?) flew into her pussy and she magicallt became pregnant. it’s weird that she wasn’t the one to be named mary, because that sounds just like jesus.

the son (named frank) was playing in the yard with his uncle albert. albert hates the kid and wanted to kill him, probably because he was emma’s kid. so, wearing a pumpkin mask (he has an obsession with masks. perhaps to cover the birthmark and the scar?) he gave him a teddy bear to hold on while he was on a swing, and the kid held onto the teddy bear instead of the swing. it swung so hard he fell into the well, of course. albert laughed in satisfaction.

emma didn’t know where her son went, and sent a letter to him to tell him to look for the stars (that’s a game mechanic thing) and send away with a parrot (do parrots even do that?). over time, her grief led her to hang herself up on the tree.

samuel married ida, a fortune teller, several years after they had a son, leonard. unknowing to others, albert was also obsessed with ida. once the family were playing music together, there was a flash and boom! there was blood splatter everywhere and samuel and ida were gone, while mary was dead. leonard wondered whether his parents were also dead. well, they were: albert, wearing a deer skull mask, used voodoo magic to kill them.

albert extracted an egg from ida (wow) and cum into a jar. using some alchemist magic, he created a child, named rose.

as a child, rose used ouija board to communicate with william. she learned from him that there needs to be 10 sacrifices (10 body parts from the family, won’t go into details, but they’ve been collected all along) and 3 timepieces to ressurect him. she promised to help him.

rose, now an adult, received a paper airplane from down in the well. to our surprise, frank was still alive and well. well, well enough to shoot a paper airplane all the way up the well. no pun intended. apparently albert had been feeding him thru the vent of the underground alchemy lab. the paper airplane contains a code to ask for drink, food, and a stick. rose gave him dog piss (wtf) (also the dog looks exactly like jame’s, are they the same dog?), a fish she caught with a bear trap (wtf again), and her walking stick, which frank used to help himself to the bucket, which rose pulled up.

frank had a chess game with his uncle albert. as he captured the king, he also broke albert’s neck and cut his brain out as a sacrifice thingy. he then took a bath and shaved. after that, he got his mother’s letter and looked at the stars and unlocked a timepiece.

leonard was enlisted. he had a grenade explode on his side for some reason, and lost a leg. while healing his leg, he quivered with his traumata. after the war, leonard got some treasure map and dug up a timepiece.

rose dug up her dead family members’ remain and assembled a skeleton, and some magic got her another timepiece.

the trio gathered at the lab. after placing the timepiece in place, the two men were wrapped by roots. rose climbed into a clock as was wrapped by roots as well. after placing the 10 sacrifices. rose somehow gave birth to a william’s reincarnation, laura
