my phone just sent me a notif from "Mobile Services": "Don't Miss Out! Get personalized, AI-curated summaries of breaking news from TheDaily. Tap now to start exploring!"
@kohelet I luckily don't use my phone enough to be motivated to de-google it. also I'd probably royally screw that up 😅 last time I tried to root my phone, I ended up accidentally doing a factory reset, and despite hours of effort, didn't succeeded in rooting it, so i'd be afraid to try anything like that again with a phone...
hey guys doing another mutual aid post cus I'm really poor, cant really afford basic necessities right now and don't have a job (unable to get a job due to my disabilities and identity), I'm a 21 yrs old transgender woman, have autism and adhd, unable to properly feed my cat and cant afford any gender-affirming things like clothes, hrt, etc. it's really urgent and any help would be appreciated, thank you.
@omnipotent@mutualaid@mutual_aid eh... don't get your hopes up. i have a feeling the website's gonna bug out or say that i need to complete it in person
@omnipotent@mutualaid@mutual_aid huh... it looks like it worked, that process was a lot easier than i thought it would be. they didn't ask for ID pictures or anything like other banks have.
I don't see the $25 deposit though. does it just take a few days to show up?
metroidvanias are one of the hardest genres to make because of the nonlinearity. nonlinearity means there's more ways the player can play the game that all have to work well, major parts of the game could be done in different orders, etc. hollow knight is an especially bad example of "easy to make" because of its huge amount of content.
i tried to do a #HollowKnight speedrun, using the pro route except for using deepnest instead of queen's gardens. i was slower than my previous best with my own route (1:19:12 - 1:23-ish) and it was super tilting.
It started very well, I did the mosquito skip first try, shade skip first try, watcher knights first try... that I really wasn't expecting. I'd never fought the watcher knights without double jump and nail upgrade before so I was pretty scared of that.
i want a place to find games based on detailed mechanics search. like, i'm interested in action rpgs, but if i search for that on places like steam, i get games that all have the worst traits of RPGs like grindable experience and shallow combat. i should be able to filter for the mechanics i want.
fundamentally all this means is having a database with relevant tags on every entry.
No, no, no. Do not use AI to record audiobooks. I will promise right now that Nantucket E-Books will never use AI recordings for its audiobooks. We can all do better than this. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2309.03926.pdf
