Does anyone have an idea on how to get details about internal server errors in the API?

The problem: We make a PATCH request on a specific resource. The request is correct (following the documentation) and successful (all changes are applied), but nevertheless we receive an internal server error in response with no details.

We've had to deal with a lot of bugs in the API, but if you can't distinguish successful requests from incorrect ones, that's very unfortunate.

Relaxing in the bathtub without Spotify is really difficult. (Written from the bathtub.)

We have successfully completed the first day of ISO 27001 certification. Went really well after not knowing exactly what to expect. Now I'm a little more relaxed about the last two days.

I was just reminded that I own the domain phpjobs.net, and I’m not doing anything with it. 🤣🤣🤣

@ramsey I own the domain hire.global for years now, but never had the time (or motivation) to do anything with it.

on is truly impressive and incredibly addictive. In the last 24 hours I have played more than 16 hours. :)

I wouldn't have thought that the controls could be implemented so well and intuitively. Well done!

I highly recommend it, although there are still some bugs, some of which are really annoying - most of them could be worked around, but once I had to restart the PS5 (so saving often is advisable).

What are the weirdest things you did with ?

Creating a library to work with before they became part of PHP (think they were added in PHP 5.1). It had a lot of bugs but worked well enough for about ten years, even after timezones have been added to PHP (because the library was used everywhere and it took some time to completely replace it).

Updating the timezones rules (several times a year) was awful.

allows users to insert dots anywhere in the username of their address, and still receive messages. A gmail username is tested for uniqueness with all dots removed. This is a nifty feature, which probably prevents some accidental mistakes leading to undelivered emails. On the other hand, it's often abused by spammers to get around unique email constraints in registration.

What do you think about preventing users from signing up with the same gmail account more than once? Heavy handed?

ziegenberg,
@ziegenberg@phpc.social avatar

@andrewfeeney Gmail (like many other e-mail providers) also supports plus-addressing (account+foo@gmail.com) and the alternative domain googlemail.com (at least for users from Germany that registered before the dispute was resolved). So there are many ways to get an alias for an e-mail and I would not try to block that (i.e. Microsoft Exchange allowed plus-characters for the regular account names in the past).

Nevertheless, this sounds like something that could be included in a spam rating.

@hl Andy is Andy Grote, the interior senator of . The text was a comment on Twitter, whereupon Andy had the alleged author's apartment searched... which caused a shit storm and somehow confirmed the comment.
