AnonTwo,

Gnome's current state is too far from the UI interface for people who only know windows. Maybe if it was Gnome2.

AnonTwo,

The first time I gave up was basically just too much back and forth with Windows. Wine was still not there yet and Proton wasn't even a thing yet though.

I've used it a lot on laptops still, but haven't gone to a desktop mainly because friends still like to bounce between games that I have to worry if my system will even support (for anti-cheat reasons not for normal compatibility reasons)

Currently using on steam deck and it's great, am planning for next PC because it feels like too much work to do on a current one when everything is already working the way I want it to.

AnonTwo,

I mean it's probably a meme in the most literal sense, just it's not funny. It's a basic motivational quote.

AnonTwo,

I mean, VR is a thing still. It's just still niche at the moment. I don't think it has to be the main way to enjoy entertainment.

That said, I'm pretty sure the glasses you want are AR, not VR (Augmented reality)

AnonTwo, (edited )

It'd be nice to trace an artwork back to it's source. But I don't think this is actually practical.

AnonTwo,

So basically they're protecting you from something that's only possible, because of something they shouldn't have done.

AnonTwo,

I feel old, because I don't feel like 62 is young

AnonTwo,

I mean, I've thought it was obvious from the beginning he wants to be president so he can pardon himself. Like that has always been the end goal.

AnonTwo,

No, it was indeed with the idea that someone would cut you with a knife which would require stitches.

It's like 30 years old from when hospitals were...expensive still yes, but not that bad.

AnonTwo,

Of what i've seen I can't say anyone should be calling it a pokemon clone. It doesn't even have an ounce of turn based combat. The monster collection is as close as it gets.

It seems closer to Minecraft/Ark/Terraria than to Pokemon.

AnonTwo,

Pirates aren't porting anything. The closest you could say are the decompilation projects, but they weren't made with pirating in mind.

AnonTwo,

I don't know how I feel about this.

I feel like either you don't care about this, because a lot of Yakuza fans will just play the game for the story and be done with it.

Or you do care about this and...I guess pirate it because NG+ being locked out seems kindof outrageous

It just doesn't seem like an audience thats going to bring in much money compared to the outrage?

It's not like you can even target streamers cause most don't play NG+

AnonTwo,

I feel like there aren't enough heads turned on investors who could care about employees even less than companies do.

They even have more bargaining power than any employee or protester to make the company do what they want.

AnonTwo,

I mean if he catches wind their products stop working to the point consumers react, he can just sell his stock and move on to destroy another company.

Why is pornography (and sexualisation in general) so normalised?

It seems as though we are going backwards. We were doing so well in realising that all human beings are worthy individuals with emotional and intellectual depth, yet now so many of us don’t seem to see any problem with society encouraging many to reduce themselves to sexual objects. How is this rationalised?...

AnonTwo,

Normalized???

It's still literally rated as less family friendly than watching blood and gore murder.

If anything I'd argue that sexual repression is still going as strong as ever in some places. In some cases to unhealthy amounts.

AnonTwo,

I mean...no, it's not. You literally said what people use pornography for in your second post

It feels like people only watch pornography in order to satisfy their sexual desires by viewing someone sexually from an external position

If you need to reduce people to do that, that seems like it's on you. Society wouldn't be good for everyone to be repressed and feel ashamed even looking at porn.

I mean, do you reduce the status of workers in other industries so that they're beneath you? Why here?

AnonTwo,

For some reason that made me think that if aliens ever wanted to take over the earth, they just have to become CEOs. Nobody would be able to tell the difference.

AnonTwo,

I mean maybe you'd need an adapter if for some reason it doesn't have the RYW plugs, but these things will generally work on whatever TV you plug them into. TV manufacturers obviously didn't want to have to tell consumers that their products would stop working moving to LCD.

But a common factor is the console doesn't know the difference so the screen size will usually be stretched. But thats about it.

AnonTwo,

I think Americans in general don't see it as a difficult choice to support Ukraine

Politicians find it difficult because Republicans are pro-russian, and both parties are heavily aligned with Israel. So Ukraines the only one really seeing any push back.

AnonTwo,

If they aren't even winning in state elections, aren't even winning in house elections, aren't even winning in senate elections

They don't have the voting base for president.

AnonTwo,

Maybe we can ask that when they actually do get all the power, because they've consistently lacked the majority needed to do any worthwhile changes.

AnonTwo,

You're literally just ignoring the people who tell you he's been charged with a crime. You posted a similar message in another thread yesterday, and just like this one you're just posting and leaving.

AnonTwo,

I don't recall it ever being considered a grown up game though. Even when Minecraft first came out most of the people I played with was more interested in playing WoW. I think League of Legends was around that time too.

edit: yeah 2009 was mid wrath of lich king, cataclysm didn't come out until 2010. So that was way too huge a year for WoW to not be pulling most of the older players.

AnonTwo,

Literally violated some of the biggest laws in the country. So blatantly that literally everyone saw it.

"For nothing"

AnonTwo,

Think of it this way

By the next election one choice isn't eligible anymore, and the second will likely be so buried under court cases he won't be able to.

So it's more of a "finish what was started" and hopefully by the next election we'll finally have some new people to worry about.
