🤔 So, I can buy flour in paper bags, but I can't buy Sugar, Pasta, Cereal and Grains, Most Breads, and just about any other dry food product in paper... they are all in single use plastic bags.

I've wondered about the reasons for this. It can't be for moisture reasons, as flour is one of the most moisture absorbing food productsI know of. Transport or hygiene maybe? If bread can travel well in paper, why can't other products?

@andycarolan just curious where you're located. I rarely see sugar in anything other than paper bags here in the Midwest US. Pasta is mostly packaged in cardboard boxes, as is cereal (if you mean breakfast cereal).

Similar situation happening in our QC lab! (We supply PVC to some pressing plants.) My boss is at a customer's plant right now running a sample and just texted me to buy a turntable for even more QC fun.

Heaven 17 - (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang (youtu.be)

How do you all track your books?

I generally use a Google Spreadsheet, with Title, Author, Date Started, Date Finished, Rating, Review, and Source (such as physical/own, or Libby-Audiobook, etc).

Then I put the info into Goodreads at some point, but honestly I'm considering dropping GR, and either just doing the spreadsheet, or trying a new website.

I've been using LibraryThing for many, many years. You can get as granular as you want with your collections.

I'm pretty sure you can import from GR fairly easily.

    Mnemonic of the day:

"King Philip, come out, for God's sake"

"kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species."

I learned it as King Philip's Class Ordered Fish Gut Sandwiches. Silly enough to help a middle schooler remember it.
