BirdEnjoyer,

Are you on an Android? Are you perhaps extra flexible?

Try one handed mode and see if moving the keyboard around helps. Even shrinking it a bit might actually be an improvement, so you don't have to bend your thumbs so hard.
Helps me

BirdEnjoyer,

This seems like such a wretched inevitably. I mean, I guess we're living it with phones, but it seems so unnecessary with cars.

Is there really no market for the same boring car, with minor efficiency tweaks, for, like, ever? I coulda lived with my 95' Accord forever if the parts hadn't been too expensive.

Do es the market really not want that, or do the manufacturers prevent it from happening?

Any Automancer please explain, I'm not car enough to understand.

BirdEnjoyer,

Even before data sales, though, a baseline, universal car never happened. Was there never a market or was a market never allowed to form?

Or perhaps the tech in a car really does advance faster than I understand? But then how would retro cars be street legal?

BirdEnjoyer,

This would be my guess- Reddit is more reliable for random queries than much of the internet, as AI propagates.

I see more and more suggested "my search Reddit" on Google even as I visit Redfit way less now

BirdEnjoyer,

Can you give us more context?

"Woman" is almost always preferred because it respects one's personal identity, as opposed to the compulsory status of biological sex, which is often used as a source of belittlement and/or bigotry against women. (and carries a whole plethora of baggage when people decide they get to judge someone's female-ness)

But it doesn't mean that you shouldn't generally be able to use the term "female" without causing social friction, if you have a good amount of social grace.

(its actually quite normal in fantasy/scifi circles, for example)

I think you may be asking the wrong question- you may want to explain what you were talking about and ask what specific phrases or situations might have unsettled people.

Maybe it was just a weirdly specific English faux pas, or maybe you have a friend who is a little extra sensitive after bad experiences and who could use your support. Maybe its a total miscommunication- who knows?

BirdEnjoyer,

At this point, I'm expecting Blender to get a word processing addon that's going to be just as frustrating, but will also be able to file your taxes and render memes at 4K

BirdEnjoyer,

It didn't even take AI.
When I went to double check my registration status and when I could early vote in the primaries, it showed a pretty weird set of dates on the official government website.

I had a relative independently check, (same result) but then a week later, in the window where no voting was supposed to be available, people were voting.

Really wish I'd screenshoted it.

Medical debt in US associated with worse physical and mental health, premature death: Study (abcnews.go.com)

As health care costs continue to rise nationwide, affording medical care remains a significant and enduring challenge for millions of Americans. According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, health care spending reached $4.5 trillion in 2022 – roughly $13,5000 per person. Of that, out-of-pocket spending...

BirdEnjoyer,

But I have to keep making more of it all the time

BirdEnjoyer,

Well, I'm not exactly super rich from med bills right now, but being physically well enough to do normal stuff would be a pretty bittersweet miracle. I'd take it in stride.

I have a few loved ones who are pretty well off who would probably want to go on a few vacations with me, and I'd probably go do some cool stuff with some fandoms (I'm not even that into Xena but I want to go to a Xena event some time because that's real fandom goals IMO) to celebrate nice people who exist and raise awareness of whatever's killing me.

If I were dying, love to do something dumb like ask the world for enough stickers to cover an entire car with pokemon or ponies or dragons or something.

You would remember some obscure disease if it were the Dragon Sticker car, right?

BirdEnjoyer,

Bought Bitcoin or have tried to buy a shoebox of a house.

But I listened to all the "sensible" people and went for a graduate level program instead like an idiot, and then couldn't do anything with it for a litany of reasons. Just one family emergency or health problem after another.

The worst of all maybe could have been avoided if I hadn't been off at school in the first place. I don't regret college, but my education should have stopped there. I was finally an adult, but I still let everyone else dictate my life, right from the getgo.

Biggest regret of my life, right out of the gate.

BirdEnjoyer,

don't forget, they have movies and music and all kinds of other things.

I felt ambitious with the eLearning stuff and wound up hours in a digital lecture about Kubernetes.

Now I just need to learn the entire Go programming language

BirdEnjoyer,

Yep.

This was never the fault of AI.
Its always the corporations- by nature, they're designed to go with what gets the most profit at any cost.
Just look at what they do to the meat industry to living creatures and their living employees who have to deal with it.

I don't think people appreciate just how dangerously willing these current AI companies are to set fire to the upcoming few decades of society- all for a little bit of glory right now.

The energy problem is definitely one thing I didn't realize was quite so dire, but we're on the cusp of total loss of control over your own likeness, and these companies really couldn't care less.

BirdEnjoyer,

I wonder what kind of personality it has when you put it in a medabot

BirdEnjoyer,

The implication being that this isn't your first thought on eating angels.

Been watching Hasbin Hotel? They have that whole Surprisingly hopeful song that veers into them.

Charlie tries so hard.

BirdEnjoyer,

I like the interpretation that the dog is an allegorical representation for a sort of goofus bodyguard.

The point of security detail is that they just chill and stand by, right? All discrete and such, like the ancient version of the Agent 47-lookin' dude with an earpiece who fades into the background.

But because this schmuck is loyal but a dumbass like an ancient Golden Retriever, he opens things up to try and get a better view, so he can find and subsequently protect his peeps like a Good Boi.
...In a space that historically likely could also function as a brothel.

NSFW Dudley Do-Right kinda shenanigans.

IIRC, this is the video that more or less had that interpretation in it:
https://youtu.be/9HJH6C0yp2I

I, too, was bothered by the joke for years, and this is the first explanation that has adequately satisfied me.

BirdEnjoyer,

I would love if the neurodivergent communities were able to aggregate their comic posts, cross reference them by trait, then create a survey for a bunch of people to take.

I wanna actually see what percentage of Neurotypical/formally diagnosed/self identifying people of different common neurodivergent groups identify with said comics.

I hope someone hops in and tells me that this is totally a thing already.

BirdEnjoyer,

Only if the raisins are treated with great care. Otherwise, they're bitter, sour or tough as heck, and the cookie is better just as Oat.

Oat Cookies are underrated, and you 100% know they're home made.

Add a touch of Cinnamon and you blow some people's minds

BirdEnjoyer,

Or just... these but oreos.

The trick for these cookies is sour cream, and the flavor for oreos comes from black cocoa.

Your post is deliciously dangerous.

And also detrimental to my search history because autocorrect decided to "help" when I was looking up black "cocoa" and I am decidedly nonsexual asexual.

I just had to reset my phone. And now I remember ehy I had that feature turned off.

BirdEnjoyer,

You can freeze the dough. It was a very economical way of satisfying a sweet tooth, especially if you have an air fryer.

BirdEnjoyer,

Most fibers can deal with a lot of heat- nuke new stuff in 140-200°f.
And baking soda kills a lot of bugs, its good to keep some around your craft bins!

Its good to keep your stuff air tight, and divvied up into moderately sized bins. A little bead of silicone caulk spread around the lid to make a seal solid really makes a difference, and you can get it in handheld tubes- no caulk gun.

Ive heard too many horror stories of art history tragedies and had a room mate in college who had experienced flea trauma. I don't want my felting to be ruined

BirdEnjoyer,

PSA:
Most persistent/painful wet ear sensations are actually from inside the ear tubes, and can often be resolved with neck massages, the application of heat to the neck and around/under the ear area, or treatment of general congestion.

That's why no amount of Q-Tips fixes most of your woes.

BirdEnjoyer,

Can we instead encourage people to post receipts with real game boxes and cartridges to enforce the idea that there are absolutely legitimate reasons to use emulators?

Pokemon in particular is the most emulatable series out there, between romhacks, randomizers, and upscalers on the 3D games.

There are definitely pirates, of course, but I feel like the public at large isn't aware enough of the fact that emulation is often a good thing.

BirdEnjoyer,

Nah, I never got into Twitter.

I have real American problems, like the fact that Americans have abandoned the most patriotic beverages ever!

Tea and Cider!

George Washington would never have been general or president without cider! Tons of Cider! (NOT beer- that wouldn't get as popular until later!)
Johnny Appleseed was NOT planting eating apples, either.

And now, most cider is kinda crap, and is going to give you a hangover. Its so difficult to ensure that you get a good drinking experience for your friends when trying to share with them the wonders of America's first brew of patriots.

And What about the Boston Tea Party?

The South at least keeps the dream alive with iced tea that it doesn't oversteep. (that's how you can tell if somewhere is Southern, btw- if they both have iced tea and don't brew it to bitter hell) But its still not a proper American fixation on reasonably priced tea!

THIS is a true American issue
