I took the same picture walking the dogs earlier!

I don't think a Glasgow kiss is as gay as you might expect!

At least in British English calling someone "a looker" has positive implications. Dunno if that applies to Americans.

"Innocent until proven guilty" very specifically applies to punishment by the courts and government (which would be UK courts in this case). Everyone else can still think he's a sleazebag and want nothing to do with him without knowing exactly which crimes he may have committed.

I could absolutely be fired by my employer for harassing colleagues in a way that wouldn't be outright illegal. Same here for streaming companies, traditional TV production companies, etc not wanting to work with him.

Plenty of people in Britain have to do a tax assessment. But not if you have a simple single employment, no meaningful savings or investments, etc.

I've used vim every single day at work for ~12 years. With the kids I rarely do at the weekends but I happened to be setting up my .vimrc on a relatively recent laptop this afternoon. Big impact on my life for a guy whose name I never knew until 2 minutes ago.

Technically true, but emphasis on "current" implies you think it has changed which I don't really agree with.

Yep, merely obnoxious rather than insane. ( I joke, all friends here!)

T(rule)lley Problem (lemmy.studio)

I will save Lemmy and kill Reddit. My reasoning is simple. Lemmy is an actual human being who has made significant contributions to the music industry for over four decades. He has been the lead vocalist, bassist, and founder of the legendary rock band Motörhead. On the other hand, Reddit is just a social media platform that...

You know Lemmy Kilmister is already dead, right?

Looks great! Lemon meringue is just about the only thing I make well, better than my wife. I have random family hassling me to make it all the time. I make the filling with more lemon and less sugar than the original recipe, then add an extra egg's worth to the meringue to balance it out.

Welcome to /m/tea!

I created this magazine as a space for all tea lovers, as well as those new to the hobby, to discuss anything they wish about the drink, from growing to preparation to consumption. Whether you want to spread the word about a favorite vendor or grower of yours, post a picture of your tea stash, or just share what you're drinking...

Interesting to see tea described as a hobby! I'm British, I just drink a crap ton of the stuff and never questioned that was right and normal.

Do drink a fair bit of mint tea too though, especially when it's hot.

You can go a long way with just general purpose tools, and maybe you need to get some specialist tools for certain jobs, but this is by far the most useful convenience tool I use. It grips the cable, then locks in place at the desired tension. Sooo much easier than trying to hold everything in place while you tighten it up when setting up brakes and gears.

This is great, I love tech history, hope to see more like this!

Standard biscuits: rich tea, custard cream, bourbon. I'm a dunker.

I was a bit surprised that the Asda quadruple chocolate cookies are better than any other supermarket. Even M&S!
