I just blocked my first user here on kbin!

My biggest problem with kbin

The biggest problem with kbin is honestly quite simple, but I don't people is talking about is the fact that finding the magazines that I'm subscribed to is in Settings > Subscribed, on Reddit, it's literally in the top bar, I don't get why it's buried in settings. Another thing is why is my home page full of posts from...

They are basically the same reason. Forums put the comment box at the bottom so people at least glance through the page before commenting, in hopes of reducing duplicate comments.

“Advertisers should not send sensitive information about people through our Business Tools,” Meta spokesperson Emil Vazquez told The Markup in an emailed statement that mirrored those the company has previously provided in response to reporting on the Meta Pixel. “Doing so is against our policies and we educate advertisers on properly setting up Business tools to prevent this from occurring. Our system is designed to filter out potentially sensitive data it is able to detect."

Yeah, sure...

Vazquez did not respond to a question about whether or how Meta could determine if this specific data was filtered.

I wonder why

Long and short term, which features would you like to see implemented?

For me flair is probably the most important. I follow a lot of organized sports and being able to quickly identify which team someone supports helps the conversation move along without having to write "as a fan of..." in every single comment. And this isn't a like talking shit, sports guy thing. It's genuinely extremely useful...

Yup! That's why forums have been set up like this for ages.

I agree with the loss of information point. It's getting much harder every day to find quality information on the web.

Hopefully most users who had good content and information in their history archived their content before nuking it on reddit with the plan to post it on wherever they end up next.

It will take time for that information to spread out and be discoverable again, but I can't blame people for taking it away, especially with the very open demand for AI training data, as a lot of people agree that it's unethical to use people's content for machine learning without explicit consent.

When a crewmember heard that Carrie Fisher's dress from the final scene in Star Wars was slated to be destroyed, he smuggled it home in a garment bag. And that's where it's been for nearly 50 years...until now

So exciting to see this IRL - Lot #404 - STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE (1977) - Princess Leia's (Carrie Fisher) Screen-Matched Ceremonial Dress...
