@tallwookie it would be a damnshame if all the subs with scab mods that don't have 3rd party mod tools got spammed with a bunch of gay porn they can't figure out how to remove.
There is a substantial amount of spam and NSFW posts on the All page coming through already. Most NSFW posts aren't being tagged as such and are coming right through. I am not sure how this can be weathered but we need something in place fairly soon, I feel like we are days away from rivers of bad stuff, especially via some of...
If posts are tagged nfsw, then they'll be blurred, but unfortunately people aren't consistently using the nsfw tag. Most of the nsfw content is coming from lemmynsfw.com - I've asked one of the admins over there if they can just auto-apply the tag to any post on their instance with media attached.
So ive had a phone for a bit now but i struggle at finding game sand apps to put on it especially free ones. its kinda mid range dphone it cant run genshin impact at all but it runs stuff like battle cats really well i also struggle at finding good or useful apps to download so if you know any please suggest some or something.
I go back a couple times a day to lead those that won't convert to ad-free modded versions of the official app so reddit can't make any money off Android users by cramming ads down their throats.
I bought a lift-top coffee table from a big box store almost a decade ago. It's entirely particle board and has seen better days cosmetically, but it's probably my single favorite piece of furniture. Ninja has a nice set of non stick pans that arent super expensive that I've been eyeing to replace my tfal pans. This is pretty much the same mindset I'm going with - replace every 5-7 years with another inexpensive set.
Didn't have this problem the past days, but today I got notifications from people replying to my comments. I click on them, and it navigates me to the article's page, but I cannot see the replies to my comments....
First off, I love this, and I'm glad you're getting this going!
However, is there any way you can enforce a NSFW tag on every post with media attached to it on the lemmynsfw instance?
I really want to keep seeing everything there it's appropriate to view it, but a lot of posts are slipping through without a NSFW tag on them and show up with spread eagles on people's main page.
It seems very silly that me downvoting something makes it show up on my profile page under "boosts", makes it look like I liked the post and boosted it when in reality I downvoted it....
@Brunbrun6766
Actually, I think it is an issue with the kbin/lemmy cross-platform functionality, especially since some lemmy instances don't even allow downvotes (I think Beehaw is one?)
The way lemmy handles voting and boosting isn't quite the same I believe, so I think it's getting borked with federation.
It really is weird... I don't really want my depravity public knowledge. I'm hesitant on what I upvote/downvote just because someone may at some point be able to see and use that information.
Well, to add to it - they have also said that if mods refuse to moderate they will allow someone else to take their place and then if that person wants the sub open - it'll be reopened.
Its just corpo double-speak to say that they are going to reopen blackout subs.

I'm surprised no-one has commissioned a TV series of "I, Robot"; it seems tailor-made for it. A set of stand-alone stories, with the same characters throughout, and the stories are brilliant.
With all the AI in the news lately, I don't know if it's the right time to commission a series based on, not just sentience in robots, but further in the storyline - robots breaking into telepathy.
One of the simple features of Reddit (and Digg before it) was that upvoted comments would float to the most visible part of the comments section and downvoted comments would end up buried where no one would see them....
It hardly matters right now with how low engagement is due to low population, but it will only be a matter of time before these features are necessary. I'd definitely like to see these implemented as well.
Artificial intelligence will bring great benefits to all of humanity. But do we really want to entrust this revolutionary technology solely to a small group of US tech companies?
Isn't it ironic.... that we all left reddit because 3rd party apps were being killed off, and came to a place where there are no 3rd party apps.
edited to meet rule #3!
And now there are threats to remove moderators. Dying site

Idk it just seems to work/look better and doesn't sign me out whenever I go on some certain instances
