Did hobbits exist then? Even if they did, they aren't the type of people to want a ring of power. At best it'd make their pumpkins grow huge and they're feet extra hairy.
Tbf that was the One Ring and IT wanted to be found. The rings referenced above were not semi sentient like the One Ring was. They merely amplified the powers and desires of their races.
Elven rings allowed them to preserve their forests and increased their isolationism. Dwarven rings increased their ability to acquire and desires for money. Human rings gave them increased powers to rule over men.
America still operates mostly as a democracy. Excepting a few notable cases elections matter. That's why we had an insurrection: the fascist lost and got angry.
You can argue it's really controlled by special interests but it's still a democracy. Russia doesn't have real elections AND it's controlled by the oligarchs.
Go towards the end of the zipper and put your turn signal on. I'll let you in.
Don't: go to the end of the zipper with the turn signal on and just follow the shoulder line assuming I'll let you in. You actually have to yield. If you use the shoulder because no one let you in right away and you couldn't be assed to slow down even a little I'll actively block your criminal ass.
We have a bunch of Christmas markets in the US. They get pretty packed. There are parking garages near them since their downtown in major cities (DC, Baltimore, Philly).
Garages are better than lots. Especially garages under buildings. No Americans have been tricked into anything. None of us have a say in how our cities were designed. That was mostly auto makers at the turn of the century.

It's actually not that hard! There's only a handful of core rules to know for every session and the rest you can learn as you go.
Attacks and spell attacks: 1d20+prof (proficiency bonus)+ability+special bonuses (items, buffs, etc)
Ability checks: 1d20+ability. If it's a skill check you have proficiency in, add +prof.
Saving throws: 1d20+ability, +prof if you're proficient in that saving throw.
Note: all of these bonuses are summed up on your character sheet under your spellcasting page, your weapons, skill lists and saving throw lists.
In encounters you can do the following: Action (extra attack included in 1 action), Bonus Action, Reaction, Movement, Item Interaction, and any number of Free Actions.
DCs for figuring out how hard something easy:
5: very easy, most people can do this most of the time
10: easy, people trained can reliably do this
15: medium, decent odds if skilled
20: hard, rare success unless very skilled
25: very hard, rare success even with highly skilled
30: nearly impossible, heroic aptitude still fails most of the time
35: godly, the highest DC likely to see. impossible without epic amounts of skill and even then very unlikely. even demigods may fail
Charlie Sheen was assaulted in his Los Angeles home by a neighbour, police have announced. The woman charged was named as Electra Schrock. She was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury and residential burglary.

I'm confused. I'm sure SCOTUS is annoyed at having to deal with so many cases from just 1 person. I'm annoyed at my job when 1 customer makes a lot of extra work for us. That's like, every damn day at most jobs, though.
They can decline to take cases which means that they are agreeing with the lower court rulings. The only other option is for law enforcement to not pursue charges against a felonious former president.
