Whether you started with a 2600 and a joystick in your hand, an N64 with a blistered palm or building your first PC in your teens, what is that one video game you've played at some point that to this day sits at the top of your list.
Walking around the Citadel in Mass Effect 1 is one of my favorite gaming memories. It felt like I really was free to explore a giant space city. It felt so massive and open.
I still open up Oblivion here and there and play for a little bit, it never really gets old to me. My last major playthrough was in 2018, I want to start up a new one.
I don't live in the US, so my ISP doesn't really seem to care what I torrent, but the megathread vehemently recommends to always use one. Since VPNs aren't cheap and I'm on a strict budget (wouldn't pirate otherwise), is it really that dangerous to torrent without one?
If you are usually a reddit lurker and are on here, it would be cool if you can try and engage with communities for a bit, just to try and get the ball rolling :)
I'm doing this as well. It helps a lot that the user base is smaller (in a good way) here, which means posting something relevant/valuable has a better chance of being noticed, which in turn makes me want to post more.
Try posting a well thought-out comment in a huge thread on Reddit a couple hours after it was posted... you'll get lost under all the jokes and puns.
I feel like it's just a personal preference. I happen to like kbin more, but I'm not missing out on much, since cross-federation makes it seamless from my view.
I don't get it. They're colored lights. I think of my self as a pretty tech-savvy GenXer, and I'm kind of a lighting geek, but I can't for the life of me figure out why I would want a lamp to be a particular color (other than 2800/3000/3200K) ....
They're solid networked bulbs. They just work and there's no annoying flicker like you may get with PWM LED bulbs. I like being able to change the color of them depending on my mood and the vibe. Friday night comes around and I set everything to fun colors, blast some music, have friends over, etc., it's a good time and the bulbs contribute. I have a light strip around the mirror in my bathroom and another strip under my cabinets in the kitchen which provide better lighting than the ceiling lights.
I also sometimes set everything to red at night since it's easier on the eyes. It's nice being able to have super cool white for doing work, and warmer (sometimes nearly orange/red) for relaxing in the evening.
You could use Govee instead, they're a little cheaper, but IMO Hue is generally nicer quality.
Haldor is not the only merchant in the family – and his sister Hildir has made her way to Valheim at last. But she has had some trouble on the way, and it appears most of her stock has gone missing. When you find her, she might request some help!
I'm pretty excited about this. I would love the concept of sailing to find these special NPCs and completing quests for them to unlock unique items to wear or for your base.
Kbin: What is your all time favourite video game?

Is a VPN necessary for torrenting?

I'd like to encourage people on the fediverse to comment/upvote/post more than when reddit
