Well that sucks. I forget about ads on YT since I watch mostly on pc with Ublock on occasion I will watch something on the TV from YT and instantly am reminded how annoying the YT ads are.
I self medicate with caffeine and have known it for years. Though changing my diet has worked better for controlling my ADHD than anything except pharmaceuticals. I'm in my late 40's and have been diagnosed ADD / ADHD since the 1980's. A low carb diet works decently for me. It's not 100% like being on Adderall or Ritalin but I am more focused and able to stop spinning my wheels most days. I also am a nicotine user so that adds to the mix.
Love the way you worked this against HR. I had a situation kind of like yours once where we got a per diem daily for a hotel and one meal. The company let us keep the leftover money from the per diem until they hired a new manager that insisted we turn in the extra (it wasn't much maybe $5-25). Fine, we all started getting more expensive hotel rooms and spending the rest on food using every cent they gave us. . After about 2 years the guy who made us turn in the leftover money left and we went back to being able to keep the extra money.
I thought I replied already to this so this might be a double.. I think they are just a bootlicker who needs to go outside more often. Based on the reply I got from them I don't think they give a shit about their users just their power.
That is what I was thinking earlier today when I edited 13 years worth of comments and deleted all of my posts. I figure they will make it impossible unless you are protected by GDPR or something similar.
That's fine with me I was deleting it on the 30th anyhow. Plus this should highlight the pathetic atmosphere over there for anyone who is on the fence about leaving.
I was just banned from r/news today for deleting a 10 year old comment then got a snarky message from a mod about being a 'hero' and told to grow up. Reddit is dead to me.
I just used redact.dev to overwrite and delete 13 years worth of comments. I also manually deleted all of my posts. Kinda hurt me to do it but I think it's the right thing to do.
Reminder that you only have until the end of the month if you want to use PowerSuiteDelete to edit all your Reddit comments to say something like the title. After that, there may no longer be a free API available....
Just deleted 13 years worth of comments and posts. Not gonna lie it was slightly painful but it had to be done. I used Redact to overwrite and delete them with a message.
I had a 1024 day reading streak going and somehow missed a day just this past Monday. What a bummer. We had some plumbing issues at the house and it threw my whole day off.
It was a shock when I checked a few days ago. I think that was my longest streak. I was in the hospital in 2018 and lost my phone in the accident that put me there. I forget what the streak was before that.
Thanks. I go through different genres, lately I've been on space opera and time travel and have been sucked into some series that are huge so there is always something new. My Next in series list is a few pages long. Trying to remember the plot is the problem lol.
I'm using Redact and having it run repeatedly to overwrite my comments with a message that says why I removed the comments. I have 13 years of comments being edited and I manually deleted my posts. Hopefully they will stay gone.
I wondered the same thing. Or someway to tie it into a current Mastadon account so i could see what that account is following. I feel like what I'm asking for is kind of a big ask right now since Ernest and the new dev team probably have way to much going on just keeping the site going.
Is there a way to see what magazines/communities we're subscribed to? I know there's /sub, but that just shows the posts, rather than the communities themselves.
Go to your profile then on the line with sort by on it there are a left and right arrow. Click the right arrow until you see subscriptions. I've only tested this on pc not sure if it is the same on mobile.
In the past, when searching on a search engine, I would use "site:reddit.com" to narrow down my results. However, with Lemmy having different instances that may contain varying content, I found myself unsure of how to approach searching effectively. While the Lemmy search feature is useful at times, I sometimes miss the...

I've been lurking on the reddit sub for many years, but I finally have a story I'm excited to tell!...
Banned from r/news for deleting a 10 year old comment with redact. Guess the mods there have no backbone. No big deal to me since I'm deleting my account soon but be aware.

I'm trying to help this new woodworking spot get off the ground, so here's a woodworking project that's a little non-typical
