Behind the Bastards just did a two-parter on this phenomenon but with children’s “books.” Icky stuff. Great episodes, but ugh that this is even a thing.

Grimdark/low-fantasy recommendations needed to fill a gap

The Outlaw Empire by Nicholas Eames is supposedly releasing this year, so I need something chunky to fill the gap. I’ve gone through Abercrombie and Lawrence as you might expect, and yes I have read the hell out of The Expanse. I don’t want to start Game of Thrones until I know there is a last book :P...

I noticed, but it's not me... not yet. The traffic simply dropped to an acceptable level. I'm working on maintaining this state permanently, and I think I'm on the right track. I want to do it really well and make use of the new possibilities we have now. In the meantime, I'm organizing the git/issues and will be on Matrix where we resolve certain technical matters. But I'll be back here soon and will tell you everything :)

Good morning, everyone!

How did you get into anime?

Although my first anime was back during early childhood (back when anime programme block was a regular thing in Indonesian television). Vulcan just really started following anime seriously during junior high school back in 2012 (classmates are into Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online during that time, and we often chatted about...

Probably showing my age, but Robotech. Really the first anime series widely broadcasted to an American audience.

Shower thought: Would it make sense to popularize having Instances dedicated to single topics?

From what i can gather, it could be beneficial to, for example, have an instance which would become the main place to get videogame content on Lemmy. Most communities would be for specific games or AAA companies, but it could also have c/general for asking questions or topics which are non specific to any community, or c/meta,...

Pathfinder 2e Remaster Changes - what do you think? (docs.google.com)

There's some really interesting changes coming for 2e! Bards have full martial proficiency, clerics can f finally get heavy armor from within their class, wizard schools of magic are gone... Then of course the big named news, like the replacement of dragons with the magic traditions (arcane/nature/religion/occult), and the...

Suggestion regarding music recomendations

A few months ago, I switched from using mainly YouTube for music to a self-hosted solution. I download everything from Soulseek and really love it. But the one issue that I have is that it is pretty hard to find new music. With YouTube, I had recommendation that most of the time were pretty conservative but still sometimes...

Tatar_Nobility,

Vimusic is an open source youtube music client for android which has a radio feature + the ability to create playlists and follow artists. Great to disciver new songs.

If that doesn't suit you there is Recommelody, a flutter app that recommends music based on user favourites, using the Spotify Web API.
