A tankie is someone who supports the CCP or unironically supports the USSR/Russia. They're generally authoritarian leftists. The term tankie comes from the tanks used to crush people at Tianamen Square
I hope they're able to bring them back up. Must be terrifying trapped on the sea floor. But also... seriously questioning the decision making process these supposedly super successful people go through.
Identifying hit songs is notoriously difficult. Traditionally, song elements have been measured from large databases to identify the lyrical aspects of hits. We took a different methodological approach, measuring neurophysiologic responses to a set of songs provided by a streaming music service that identified hits and flops. We...
This kind of post right here is the gold standard for why I chose Kbin over other instances. Well reasoned, free of vitriol, and looking to build a new culture outside of the one a lot of us left behind on Reddit.
Wendigo this week! I did something like....120 Warden of Nothings with the meta uncertainty because of the imminent grenade launcher buff. Ended up with several I was happy with, so I can sit this one out pretty comfortably haha.
And then have no activity in them. Not quite sure why this is happening, is it power hungry idiots thinking if I make fifty magazines, maybe one will be popular?...
Speaking as the person who made @MuseumOfKbin, I really just wanted the magazine to exist but I didn't have anything to put in it yet. Since like, Kbin is brand new. But if anyone wants to take it over from me please please just let me know, I have no desire to mod this thing long term.
You know how twitter is known as kinda like, the place to go if you want to get into an internet argument? What if we could make Kbin the place to go if you wanted to get compliments from random strangers...

It's a commonly accepted definition for the word, i.e. they were being factual and not derogatory.
Been in the fediverse a single day and I already like it better than Reddit. I just have to keep reminding myself that this is the worst Kbin will ever be, and it will continue to get better with regards to speed and stability.
As a former redditor I am glad to have found a new "home" and I hope I'm not intruding. Nevertheless, we are all a huge migration that is bound to change how kbin works and we're bound to piss off some pre-migration Keebinetters. The fact you guys were here before and not in reddit makes evident you don't want this to become a...
It's an inside joke from the early days of reddit. Basically if you ask someone in public "When does the narwhal bacon?" and they reply "The narwhal bacons at midnight." then you know they're a redditor. I don't know if anyone was ever stupid enough to actually try this in real life though. lol
I feel like I should know this

Dear pre-migration Keebinetters, how can we NOT ruin kbin for you?
