Most mature social networks do remove this information to prevent users accidentally sharing their locations. Can someone positively say whether Lemmy is aware enough to strip extra information from photos?

Why YSK: If we want to keep the Fediverse in the hands of its users and prevent "enshittification" (search it), it's good to know how corporations kill grassroots projects like this....
Theres Beeper which I bought like a one year subscription back when it wasn't free and honestly its very useful and nice. I linked Whatsapp, iMessage, Signal, IG and discord and while in some cases it doesn't offer the same features it gets the essentials down and its really nice. Theres also another not open source one called texts.com or sth now which looks enticing but im gonna stay with beeper since I like the matrix protocol
Kbin is the first Reddit alternative I looked at and i liked the UI so I stuck with it. I kind of assumed everything would be kbin. I thought I understood things. I thought it was kbin and lemmy separate but they federated and so I’d be able to access lemmy stuff from kbin. Which I guess is true. But now I’m confused. I look...
Tbh I prefer Kbin although both are federated since the people from Lemmy seem to have the need to push their political agenda as well as including non-changeable swear word filters. Kbin is nice tho
I hope it runs on my Laptop tbh. But I don't think so but at least on pic. I think for mouse focused games like this the stream deck screen is too small for me and the trackpad is also no complete replacement imo
Does Lemmy strip photo GPS data?

OC /r/NonCredibleDefense recieves automated notice from the admins to remove its NSFW designation, or else. Mods respond by messaging the admins a bunch of death and porn.

Kbin noob here - Is it the intended experience to take 2 clicks to open an image? (one to open the thread, then another to open the image)
Bonus question: How do you collapse comments? Some threads are busy and hard to navigate without this.

Did you reuse your Reddit name or create a new one?
I originally went with the same name but have been using this one now since it's new and the idea of starting fresh appeals to me....
