Like 10-15 years ago I was into linux and tried a bunch of different distros (PCLinuxOS, Mint, CentOS, OpenSuse...) and was quite happy with the, then, limited options of gaming on linux (It was the time Valve released TF2 for linux)...
Some 2,200 infants died in Texas in 2022 – an increase of 227 deaths, or 11.5%, over the previous year, according to preliminary infant mortality data from the Texas Department of State Health Services that CNN obtained through a public records request. Infant deaths caused by severe genetic and birth defects rose by 21.6%....
Nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis da ein Zaun bin gebaut wird. Wär ja noch schöner, wenn wir unsere Planung jetzt an den Betroffenen orientieren würden. Wo kommen wir denn da hin!
Anything by Matt Groening is always the same. He's always trying to make fun of TV tropes and subvert them but at the same time he's stuck with the restrictions of commercial, ad-compatible mainstream TV.
I think Use of Weapons is the best Culture novel so I'd recommend giving it a shot. Having said that, i just loved Consider Phlebas pretty much from page one. Banks always had trouble writing compelling plots. The main attraction to me is the imaginative scope of the worlds he created.
Los Angeles City Controller Kenneth Mejia apparently took to Twitter (accounts such as this are no longer verified in Musk’s Twitter) to announce his office’s investigation of tree trimming on the sidewalk where workers, writers, and actors are picketing.
When i was young the daily newspaper (which used to be like a daily updated news website printed out on large sheets of paper, for our younger readers) was always letting in the toilet. Bonus was that you had a fallback when the loo paper ran out.
Absolutely not. These people know exactly what they're doing. Except Donnie Cheeto of course, who genuinely has no idea of what is true and what is false. That's why he comes across as so "authentic" to the morons.
The first-past-the-post system is definitely a huge part of the problem. But in the US Senate the Republicans have the same number of seats with 40 million fewer votes. But somehow that is never a big issue in public discourse. If I was living in the US, I'd be shouting it from the rooftops every day.
I want to return to Linux. Recomendations?

So far this year I have watched Metropolis and Zardoz for the first time. What are some other must see SciFi movies?
