i remember getting my first one. it was an amazing time. played a lot of games back then. not so much now. i just can't keep up with the upgrades, so i just play older ones every now and then.
a modern equivalent would be moving from an old pc with hdd to a new one with nvme ssd.
If you have a passing interest in film and animation, you’ve likely heard of Coyote Vs. Acme, a feature film in the Roger Rabbit tradition of blending 2D animation with live action focusing on characters from Warner Brothers’ Roadrunner cartoons. The film would have focused on Wile E. Coyote suing the ubiquitous Acme...
you can now set taskbar to ungrouped (unless full) now in win11, as of one of the recent monthly updates. still can't move the taskbar to the left side (my preference on wide screen displays), though.
can't happen here.. our current printer (an older, higher-end canon) has a whopping 50 page capacity input tray; and if you dare put 50 sheets in it, it'll choke on the first page it tries to pull through--so more like 35-40, max.
'essentials' are rarely put on deep discount sales. manufacturers and retailers know you're gonna buy regardless. even the discount retailers like walmart and target don't put a lot of 'essentials' on black friday deals anymore. used to get a pair of jeans, some socks, shorts and tees, a new hoodie, and a few other things every year, to replace what's worn out or been eaten by the dryer monster, and they were always cheap af--always some kind or another of those were on sale. but i haven't been able to the last 5-6 years.

i can't stand the apps and crap either. no i don't want to browse your menu from my phone--hell, i literally can't (flip phone). no i don't want to use the app or 'order ahead' for an 'exclusive' discount. that just tells me you're charging everybody else too much. no i don't want to pay with a card or debit and pay extra for that 'convenience'. no i don''t want to just 'sign up' either, why do i need to do that to read or consume 'free' content or to use a 'free' app or application?
ad placements and 'shrinkflation' are out-of-control, as is the incessant need for companies to nickle-and-dime you to death--and that's on top of the usual greedy price increases 'just because' they can, which are also out-of-control the last few years. the push to the subscription model for everything is part of the latter.
I used to think typos meant that the author (and/or editor) hadn’t checked what they wrote, so the article was likely poor quality and less trustworthy. Now I’m reassured that it’s a human behind it and not a glorified word-prediction algorithm.
email spam and scammers have been using this tactic forever. if a person is stupid enough to click or respond to the message from 'Wels Farpo', they're more apt to go all-in on the scam.
