I just saw an email from Buy Me a Coffee. Not just one. I went in, and I'm truly shocked. Thank you all for the support; I would like to thank each and every one of you individually someday. Honestly, I don't know what to say. The account balance is $350, which will definitely allow me to develop kbin faster or at least not...
Happy to see this! I look forward to seeing what this can become. No new thing will be without issues so don't sweat it, and more importantly, don't burn yourself out.
As you noticed, I had to temporarily enable DDoS protection. Someone is trying quite effectively to distract me from my activities ;p Unfortunately, this may cause some issues with the federation. I will try to cut off the traffic as soon as possible and return to normal operation. Thank you for all your support and patience! :)
I noticed the same thing just now, this is my first time using it on mobile. Not a big deal whatsoever, but my brain basically ignored the house icon for a minute. Still really liking the experience so far though!
Same as others have said, it's gotta be The Expanse for me. I saw the show before ever reading the books and it quickly became my favorite show of all time. I'm constantly rewatching it. Then I read the books and loved those even more. Amos Burton is my favorite fictional character from any series. My Elder Scrolls Online character is a Breton named Amos Breton.
I am definitely a Redditfugee, I've been posting a little bit today and have gotten some responses. I look forward to engaging somewhere other than Reddit, it's just going to take me some time to figure out how this all works. I started by subbing to about 30 "magazines" (I'm using kbin) that are relevant to my interests. Not entirely sure how to filter the homepage view to prioritize those but I will figure it out.
So the Now for Reddit creator says he's been flat-out ignored for 3 months and he's panicking, he doesn't want to lose 10 years of work. Spez replies "Apologies for the delay. We are responding now.
If others have apps they would like to be considered for the paid API tier, please reach out here and select “This is a partnership request.”
The sheer incompetence of this man, holy shit. Now for Reddit is the app I have used for years, no way will I use the awful official app over that, ever.
I'm using Kbin and enjoying it so far, although I need to teach myself to navigate it. I'm lamenting the loss of r/stlouis, where I was most active. Someone made a server for it here but there are only 4 members or something so far.
For me personally, it's actually the modern Battlefront 2. I play it every Friday night with a couple of friends and a few beers. It's incredibly fun to blast down AI bots with my heavy blaster, then respawn onto the field as Darth Maul and just wreak absolute havoc. We've been playing it for years and haven't put it down. In terms of actual Star Wars story, I think I revert back to Empire Strikes back. I've seen it dozens of times and it just doesn't get old for me.
What game mechanics do you enjoy or that surprised you when playing a game? I recently started playing Tunic and I love building out the "manual" for the game and getting hints on how to play.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed the monster catching systems and subsequently the battle system in Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. So much so, that I got the platinum trophy in both the PS3 and PS4 versions. I loved that the battles were technically in real time but with cooldowns for each character and their familiars, and I appreciated that the characters (3 of them) are on the battlefield WITH the familiars rather than either/or. This meant I could deal some damage to exploit enemy weakness using the main characters while some of the familiars tanked damage and all that. It wasn't perfect but it really resonated with me.
I'm not trying to convince anyone to go back i promise, quite the contrary actually cause I think spez plans to just decrease the cost of the API and act like it was a bargain deal sacrifice while not solving any of the issues at all...
I don't know if I have an answer for that. My most active reddit was my local city sub (r/stlouis) and I spend a lot of time and got a lot of good information from there. It just really bums me out, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this whole deal works here.
I mean yeah, that's me. I'm just a regular guy, but since reddit decided to screw up in the worst ways possible, I need an alternative. I don't fully understand the fediverse but I'm going to make an attempt to use kbin and see how it goes.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG that challenges the players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more - in a truly immersive fantasy world.
That reveal prompted me to finally go install Dark Arisen. I've put about an hour into it but haven't reached the main city yet. Decided to start as a Strider, no idea if I'll stick to that.
With gaming often bringing me into a really depressive headspace sometimes with how the markets are developing, whats a game you can always go to and just be lost in, or just be happy with?...
Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect, and the NHL/MLB games are always my go-to when I just want to chill out and be comfortable. There's lots of comfort in being "with" some of your favorite characters time and time again. There's a different comfort (more of a zen feeling) in booting up my favorite sports games, turning off my brain and just letting instinct and reflex take over. Most Friday nights at the end of a tough week, I play MLB with some beers until late in the night after my friends log off.
I'm actually replaying it right now. My wife went out of town for a weekend so I resubbed to Gamepass and decided to see if anything would hold my interest. The ones that did were DA:O and Hi-Fi Rush. I've got almost 20 hours now into this replay of DA:O and I'm happy with how well it holds up to this day. I play on casual difficulty because I just wanted to go through the story again but it's so good. I really hope they can deliver a more classic experience in DA4 rather than pack it with bloat like they did in Inquisition.
Thank you so much for your support! 😍

do you think the fediverse could replace popular social media
At the moment the internet is flawed, do you think the fediverse is the solution?
