i think @10A generally does describe what I learned in my past growing up in a Christian household - although I'm not religious anymore. It's not about doing bad stuff and then being saved, but just doing good things as a result of believing in God and striving to be like Jesus and whatnot.
Now, whether people who claim to be Christians act in that way is another story - in my experience Christianity that I witness in the world today is very contradictory from whatever the Bible says lol
It's the scary thing about all these LLMs... It's response seems to just be to agree with you for the most part... But unfortunately present it's words as facts
So I'm in the process of switching from Spotify to Tidal for my music streaming (since Tidal pays artists like three times more than Spotify does). The only problem is, Tidal doesn't support podcasts, which is another big thing I used Spotify for....
Apps are always nice, but lots of mobile websites, including the kbin one, are entirely functional as an app. In your browser you can just make a shortcut to them, and they'll appear on your home screen and act as an app....
First of all, thank you @ljdawson for pursuing Sync for Lemmy. It’s honestly given me so much hope for Fediverse adoption to actually happen. I do have one thought to share with you to help with success:...
haha thanks, got it so part 3 is split into 2 parts (who thought of this... smh). this final "season" is the most stretched definition of a single season of a show I have ever seen
My hometown's newspaper just published an opinion piece about the disastrous effects, ecologically and financially, that lawn care causes. Not totally surprising but it's important to note that this is a retirement community in the bible belt!...
And then have no activity in them. Not quite sure why this is happening, is it power hungry idiots thinking if I make fifty magazines, maybe one will be popular?...
Lol same here, I made a community and then realized it is so much effort to get it kick-started (posting a lot of content relevant content there continuously to attract people to join). So I kind of abandoned it and decided to post/comment a lot on existing communities instead.
Awesome, yeah looking forward to this fix! I didn't notice it before cause usually there weren't many comments, but now that there are threads with hundreds of comments this fix will be super useful
YouTube is testing a more aggressive approach against ad blockers (www.androidpolice.com)
It looks like Google are pushing pretty hard on AdBlockers now. Looks like a pretty aggressive new UI from them....
ELI5: If you're a Christian, why do you have to be good if Jesus will forgive you no matter what?
I grew up going to church but I'm not religious now and I never really understood this part....
Made a vegetarian Indonesian dinner.
Google Bard about Lemmy. What a Liar! (lemmy.world)
Fuck yeah, r/android is still on lockdown
Props to the mods over there!...
What Android app should I use to browse Lemmy?
I'm trying to stop using Reddit, but it having an app I know about makes it have quite an advantage....
I need Podcast app recommendations for Android/PC

OC While you're waiting on a kbin app, you should know the mobile site is entirely functional as a mobile app. Just make a shortcut for your home screen

Using Sync for Reddit as a marketing tool come July 1st is more urgent than building the MVP
First of all, thank you @ljdawson for pursuing Sync for Lemmy. It’s honestly given me so much hope for Fediverse adoption to actually happen. I do have one thought to share with you to help with success:...

Noticing major shifts in opinion on lawn care
My hometown's newspaper just published an opinion piece about the disastrous effects, ecologically and financially, that lawn care causes. Not totally surprising but it's important to note that this is a retirement community in the bible belt!...
New Pixel Ad (youtube.com)
These are pretty cringe but they did make me chuckle a little. Very reminiscent of the I'm a Mac, I'm a PC ads.
To anyone that misses Reddit Slide; I may have a present for you soon (feddit.uk)

Just saw KBin supports PWAs, thanks for the update!
I was waiting for Kbin to have a PWA I can install as a mobile app, so really appreciate the latest update!
For those who might not know. Here is the way to search for and subscribe to federated magazines.
It took me a while to figure this out today and hopefully will help someone along the way....
OC Quick, make as many Magazines as possible!
