For me its having a single instance that indexes all the communites to which all other instances can then pull that information from so when I go searching for communities the I’ll have access to every single one with needing to post the entire URL in the search bar
I’m an experienced developer and I cant wrap my damn head around microblogs vs posts vs threads, and different instances which are different from communities, and there servers which some let you make accounts and others don’t?
Like, I go to a community (or server or thread I don’t know, whatever the equivalent of a subreddit is), but I can’t figure out how to follow or subscribe to it on mobile at all.
It’s a mess. (Though I'm still happy to have this over reddit)
Has anyone started this and have some early thoughts? I know reviews of some of the other series like this have said they focus a lot on unnecessary drama, and want to know if that’s the case here before spending the time to watch and getting invested
I don't really get this outlook, like surely all sports are equally tainted?
Personally too, whether someone is on performance enhancing drugs doesn't really make a difference to the enjoyment of watching the sport, especially when almost everyone is on the same drugs.
What are the biggest upgrades/fixes that you would like to see done to Lemmy?
