I discovered yesterday evening that Lemmy.ml is blocking all inbound ActivityPub requests from /kbin instances. Specifically, a 403 'access denied' is returned when the user agent contains "kbinBot" anywhere in the string. This has been causing a cascade of failures with federation for many server owners, flooding the message...
I'm glad you think so. Please see the attached screenshot for an example of what I'm talking about. I'd like to have the text one size bigger so I can read it more easily, but then whole words are cut off or missing.
🤔 There's a note in the break room at work reminding people that the kitchen sink is for washing coffee mugs, and hands, and maybe pieces of fruit, but not for "personal hygiene," and I just want to know what incident happened that created the need for such a sign.
@mekkaokereke Maybe someone was offended that a person brushed their teeth there, though. You know people are weird AF and get offended by the most bizarre things.
I have only commented so far with only positive reception, all my comments are in the positives and I only have 5 downvote all I am pretty sure coming from the same person on the same thread, yet I have -5 rep, why?...
I found this because I have the same concern. I should be positive 35, not -7. The reputation system as currently implemented doesn't produce a reasonable result. I look like a troll to anyone who sees my profile.
With Mullvad disabling port forwarding and the general problematic VPN services it was super helpful to rely on some information about VPNs on reddit to discovered services like Mullvad. Now it seems to be down to ProtonVPN, AirVPN and IVPN. But that information is not to be found here so far....
The three stations set to be outfitted with these gates include the 7 train at Times Square, the L train at 3rd Avenue and the E train at Sutphin Boulevard/Archer Avenue in Queens.
Platform doors were being installed in stations in Singapore in 2008 when I lived there. It's embarrassing that NYC is so far behind the curve in this area. Not surprising at all, just embarrassing.
Walls would have been better than the travesty they're committing downtown on the East Side now. They just finished remodeling the park and it was beautiful, then they ripped it up and destroyed the old beautiful trees there to just add dirt and make it higher up.
There really aren't many reviews online that mention the Tern Link D7i, so I appreciated finding this review on YouTube, even if it is more of a comparison....
The bike lane in Battery Park is awful. There are always tourists just standing around in it, even though it's clearly marked. There has to be a better way to delineate or separate the bike lane in that area.

The Army Corps’s plan to protect New York from flooding relies too heavily on walls.
I'd love a community vibe check. What is everybody into? Subgenres/Bands/Favorite albums... let's talk about what we like.
