For me flair is probably the most important. I follow a lot of organized sports and being able to quickly identify which team someone supports helps the conversation move along without having to write "as a fan of..." in every single comment. And this isn't a like talking shit, sports guy thing. It's genuinely extremely useful...
Multi-magazines are definitely something I'm looking forward to. There will come a point where I will want to see content about a specific subject, and I'll be subscribed to too many magazines for looking at the entire "subscribed" section to be feasible.
long time listener first time caller. been on reddit 15+, but the end is nigh. I have never used 3rd party apps.. always found the old, mostly-text layout completely sufficient for mobile browser use....
Tbh, this has been on my mind for the past two days, so I hope you guys don't mind if I unload it here. I tend to obsess and I figure if no one cares, then at least I can get it out of my head instead of thinking about it all the time. Also sorry for the length, I promise I have a doctor's note....
Replying to posts in the Microblog section seems to autofill pings for everyone in the reply chain. What is the purpose of this? Does this mean that if the @ isn't included the user wouldn't get a notification for the reply, or am I overthinking this?
Reddit went through some issues for many on Monday, with the outage happening the same day as thousands of subreddits going dark to protest the site’s new API pricing terms....
Personally I like the fact that kbin can also handle the microblogging side of the fediverse. I know having a one-stop shop for everything is exactly what federalized social media is trying to prevent, but I think being able to access a variety of content without it necessarily being the host for that content is a nice middle ground.
Also, and this is admittedly trivial, but on kbin the profile picture is square. Finally I am free from the rounded avatar nightmare.
As a former redditor I am glad to have found a new "home" and I hope I'm not intruding. Nevertheless, we are all a huge migration that is bound to change how kbin works and we're bound to piss off some pre-migration Keebinetters. The fact you guys were here before and not in reddit makes evident you don't want this to become a...
You are not, and it was even slower for me at the time you posted this thread than it is now. Hopefully things will stabilize as ernest works on getting more solid infrastructure and mitigating the load from all the traffic.
Any good mobile apps to access kbin?
Obviously this migration is all about 3rd party apps. Do any even exist yet for kbin?
Long and short term, which features would you like to see implemented?

People from Reddit or redditors, people from Boston are Bostonians, people from Canada are Canadian. What should the people of this site use for a demonym?
I've seen keebinetters, but that feels like trying to say Massachusettsian instead of Bay Stater....

Dear pre-migration Keebinetters, how can we NOT ruin kbin for you?

Am I the only one facing constant lagging when moving between different pages?
What are people calling the Reddit exodus?
Rexodus? Reddexodus? Fedexodus? reddiaspora?
