Victims of “Donbas genocide” were paid actors, Prigozhin’s fired trolls reveal (euromaidanpress.com)

In the aftermath of Prigozhin's media empire collapse, former employees spoke out about the dark tactics employed, including hiring individuals to portray "victims of Ukrainian Armed Forces” in staged reports that underpinned Russia's fake pretext for the full-scale invasion of Ukraine -- its Big Lie about alleged "genocide in...

Human Shadow Etched in Stone (人影の石, hitokage no ishi)[2] is an exhibition at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. It is thought to be the residue of a person who was sitting at the entrance of Hiroshima Branch of Sumitomo Bank when the atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima. It is also known as Human Shadow of Death[1] or simply the Blast Shadow.

Peripeteia, upcoming first-and-third-person role-playing stealth game taking place in alt-history cyberpunk Poland.
Shares D.N.A. with Deus Ex, E.Y.E, Half-Life 2 Beta. Comes out this year.

progenyofthestars,

There's only one Deus Ex.

progenyofthestars,

It's a rotation: Deus Ex, System Shock, E.Y.E, System Shock 2.

Hoping to add Peripeteia to the list this year.

progenyofthestars,

Obligatory "Me, Myself and Die!" mention. The season one from three years ago is still a brilliant watch. Trevor plays Savage Worlds here, but you can see how the engine that makes the solo play possible is utilized. That can give you ideas for how to use it with your system of choice.
Me, Myself and Die! Season One

progenyofthestars,

Thank you! This looks really interesting, I like the training wheel idea to kickstart everyone's roleplaying skills.

progenyofthestars,

Thank you for such a rich reply. So many things to check out! I think we're gonna try Fiasco first, see how that goes. Assuming positive response, I'm gonna make a strawpoll from your suggestions and see which setting is in favor.

Good roguelikes for blind, no spoilers exploration

Some of you may've had that experience with Nethack: learning about the game, thinking how awesome it would be to be one of people who discover it spoilerless, and then coming to the logical conclusion that you are better off just reading the wiki. If there are still no spoilers holdouts, much respect....

progenyofthestars,

Infra Arcana.
You might find some guides but there's no wiki for it.

progenyofthestars,

Oh yeah, it's surprisingly immersive with in-game mechanics that support such atmosphere.
Recently I also had a blast with Alchemist. It's still early in terms of content, there is a slice of game that you can enjoy though. It's really promising and what is there was fun to figure out.

DivX ;-) codec, making it possible for me to watch Matrix on my computer.
At least 3 times a week for that whole summer.

progenyofthestars,

Highly recommend Project1999 and TAKP if you've ever got an itch to try EQ again.

progenyofthestars,

Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Stay patient dudes.

progenyofthestars,

Always good to see the listings yourself, but it's how you'd expect.

progenyofthestars,

Primordia.
The Excavation Of Hob’s Barrow.
System Shock (1994).

progenyofthestars,

You're in for a treat, start with Diablo 1.
Thanks to it's color palette, it's still very atmospheric, even today. There's HD mod that not only makes it no hassle to run this on modern PC with higher resolution but also adds ton of content that was originally cut from the game. It even adds re-imagined cut content that was only just mentioned somewhere in-game or was planned for Diablo 1 but actually ended up being part of Diablo 2 later on. Purists will whine about too many balance/item changes, it's worth it to try the game firsthand.

progenyofthestars,

The mod adds one more difficulty level to the base game, so there's room to keep grinding and making progress if you get into it.
I'd say roll Sorcerer if you just want to finish it and move onto sequels. Sorcerer will be pretty chill to play up to the third difficulty. Pick a Warrior/Rogue if you want the challenge, those classes are gear dependent. Since you can trade gear between characters, actually playing the game as Sorcerer and funneling gear to the other classes is a viable strategy to tackle the fourth difficulty.
