ethfinance is the first community that I actively participated in. It was the sole reason I had a reddit account. With the API changes, I have not used my account at all since then.

I do believe each individual can make their own decision regarding this. Sadly kbin is not that well developed UX wise, but I think this can be a catalyst that changes that soon enough.

Eventually I think we will be moving away from reddit if nothing changes. To where? still a mystery to me. I am in favor of platforms that have downvotes though.

The same number of days has passed from the top of the 2017 bull run to the bottom of the Covid-2020 crash as compared to from the top of the 2021 bull run till today. Though if you consider the top is on November 2021, we still have about a few months away.

Why is this significant? Idk, if you're a believer of the 4 year cycles, then we may already be at the start of the next bull run

The ratio, in a sense is a way for us ethereum folks to cope with the constant abuse we have endured from btc maxis.

The day the ratio flips is the day we kinda proved that we were 'right' and they were wrong about us. It proves that ethereum is no longer a shitcoin

I for one understand why this sentiment surfaced, but I do agree that at a certain point we shouldn't care anymore

At this point now, I agree with what you say. I had a different perspective when I started in 2016 though, mostly because of the constant FUD I had to face when talking with militant BTC maxis.

At this point, I think there's nothing much left besides slow adoption that will make Ethereum thrive. It is now a matter of when, not if

I find it oddly endearing, that just by having some of the people coming in here from etfhinance reddit, makes kbin that was initially so foreign feel so familliar. If only all the third party apps move here...
