A little personal post I should propably pin:

Don't sent me any links/invites to , / or whatever sites/services.

I WILL IGNORE THEM!

If you want to contact me, you'll find all the info you want on my profile.

To protect against , all messages/eMails get automatically filtered as junk on server-side.

If you want a reply, add your to those.

Thanks for your attention!

@kkarhan

Wait.
You also ?

kkarhan,

@alcea I despise all , & Solutions without exemption!

eatyourglory,

@kkarhan How do I encrypt my email?

kkarhan,

@eatyourglory use a good eMail client like @thunderbird that makes it trivial or consider some easy-to-use tools like to do so manually.

Pretty shure @cryptoparty and other accounts still have slides and available.

I'm currently on the go, so I have none of those available...

eatyourglory,

@kkarhan @thunderbird @cryptoparty Is Thunderbird available on iOS?

kkarhan,

@eatyourglory no, but that's due to and them being shitty to devs.
There are / /MIME implementations for tho...

me_the_fl00f,

@kkarhan @eatyourglory Apple Mail supports S/MIME and for encrypt/decrypt using GnuPG there are apps like iPGMail … https://apps.apple.com/at/app/ipgmail/id430780873

@kkarhan how does this approach work in practice?

kkarhan,

@hllizi very well.

It keeps spam to zero because Spammers can't be bothered to properly sign & encrypt their shit.

In fact, if there was an provider that were to do that to all incoming and outgoing eMails I'd migrate to them instantly!

hllizi,
@hllizi@hespere.de avatar

@kkarhan I believe that, but whom you keep out is only one side of the story, the other is who will still (want to) get in.

kkarhan,

@hllizi It's 2023 and @thunderbird has /MIME built in.

There's no excuse for having except (catering to) lazyness (of others) to properly configure their setup.

hllizi,

@kkarhan @thunderbird I am aware of that, but also of the fact that almost nobody I know actually uses encryption. Their reasons are not for me to judge, I can only say that, were I to move to an encrypted-only approach to Email, I could just do away with Email altogether. Also wouldn't be the worst idea, maybe.

kkarhan,

@hllizi @thunderbird Again: It's so trivial I could give a rundown on how to setup that shit in like 5 mins like 15 years ago and back then you'd had to configire basically everything by hand.

Whereas nowadays it's even simpler...

In fact, I encourage you to teach others by doing a ...
