Endless scrolling + algorithmic 'For You' page with proprietary algorithm owned by every instance, which in turn have to finance their huge server costs "somehow"… this is a TikTok'ish recipe for disaster.
@cliffwade That's a techbro response helping literally nobody. On the contrary, because of this notion we're now living in a society where people are refused jobs because they can't be found on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, one guy with tons of money can crash your social circle and democracy goes down the drain.

Yeah, I'm genuinely curious about the speeds it'll be able to playback video. Most of the short form video platforms are centralized which makes playback rapid and that ends up benefiting users.
