@howiecohen Always a little unsettling to get those messages.

I get them frequently for my largely dormant f-book account, as another scammer tries to find their way into taking my account over. They don't realize that despite my inattention, I have it fairly locked down.

It sucks that it's such a frequent occurrence we're all just used to it at this point. It's not where we should be in the levels of acceptable loss...

@elithebearded @KanaMauna @thomasfuchs FWIW there are vegan marshmallows. They aren't perfect, but they aren't bad. They use agar as the base instead of gelatin.

@elithebearded @KanaMauna @thomasfuchs We use them as we are a vegetarian family. They are fine. They aren't quite the same texture; a little softer and stickier. Also their shelf life is a little short. But they work fine for most purposes you'd want a marshmallow for.

@virtualbri It might be the video size maybe. Just spit balling, but normally there's a caching and preview generation done by sidekick. I don't think it can do it to a video that large. Or if it can, it may take it a long time to chew on it due to the file length.

Oh lawd, I've got to bite the bullet and start rewatching Star Trek Enterprise, now Greatest Generation podcast has finished Voyager and is about to start on Trek's red-headed stepchild. I mean I don't have to watch, but the pod is better if you've seen the episode they're discussing. The things I do for @GreatestTrek

@NickGates @beecycling @GreatestTrek It's a real mixed bag. I feel like it had some of the most potential, especially by season 4. But also I think the series is where the misogyny of the producers and the creep factor of their ideas become the most apparent. They pot some serious plants and get out some awkward gel cans. It. Gets. Awkward.
But I was still sad to see it go because a lot of the characters had stories worth telling, and the time they were entering was suppose to be epic.

@forgottrek It was fun that they called back the Catholic Marines. I had forgotten about them, it had been so long since wee saw them last.

I also enjoyed the crux of the plot, which I won't spoil since I didn't CW this.

@Taotica @virtualbri @Painter_Local I can't say I've done it enough to be certain. The few times I've purchased things from the EU the biggest hit usually was in shipping. Its not terrible, but when you're buying small items it can easily be as much as the item itself.

@forgottrek Yeah. I am looking forward to seeing where they take this. It is just a very different feel. It's like driving a new car and you kinda know how, but it feels like nothing is quite the same, and you gotta get used to how it handles and where everything is.

I recently switched from Verizon to AT&T for my cell service. I already had AT&T fiber at my house so the bundle became a much better deal. I upgraded to a pixel 8 pro through ATT, and my brother who is on my plan kept his pixel 7a running lineage OS 21. Standing next to each other in our house I get 300 down and 5 up, and he gets symmetrical 300 Mbps over 5g. This is just using the speedtest.net app. I assume AT&T is doing some kind of throttling, but this implies it happens on the phone. (1/2)

@night_chrono Have you looked to see if the APNs are the same on both? I'm curious if the set some differently on the phone form the provider.
