i'm really excited to show https://compost.party to the world! it's a web server running on an old, broken phone, getting energy from the sun using one of those portable solar chargers that you may also have lying around.
The trial [...] will treat 30 males aged 30-64 who are missing at least one molar. The intravenous treatment will be tested for its efficacy on human dentition, after it... https://jwz.org/b/ykUY

Here the options are between nationalists, independistas, populists, extreme right, extreme left, alliances that have everything and nothing, ...
Not easy!
Business meetings exist to share information and coordinate activity: this shit enables you to be apparently present in all but actually not engaged with any. If your calendar is triple-booked then your organization is under-resourced and needs more people, not more AI. Or it's holding unnecessary meetings to make management feel better about being surrounded by minions, in which case it needs to fire the executives responsible. https://mastodon.social/@kjhealy/112553850995965423
Habt ihr eine Idee, über welchen Shop ich meine Shirts verkaufen könnte?
Wichtig ist maximal mögliche fair und öko Bewertung, sowohl vom Shop als auch von den Shirts.
@joelepstein
I was in New York two weeks ago.
Things I noticed: too many, too noisy, too dirty cars and trucks
Things I didn't notice: annoying cyclists
The nice thing is that the speed of the cars is pretty low, which makes them less dangerous. Drivers were also pretty good at giving way to pedestrians. @Pkbwood
Just saw this via the London Reconnections blog and, oh my god, I think you could not do a worse job of redesigning the tube map if you tried.
“Paint all the lines the same colour. Send a train into London centre from Zone 6. Which identically coloured line does it emerge from on the other side? Fuck knows. Good luck!”
I mean, look at Oxford Circus? Which are the through lines? No? Me neither.
And this is promoted as “accessible”. God help us all.
@goatsarah there are some nice ideas, like the thickness of the lines (not that I noticed), and different stations and connections.
Losing the proper colours is obviously not going to work for anyone.
Who cares if something is overground or underground anyway?
Not enough people realize that the "Turing Test" as originally presented was "can a gay English man in 1945 tell the difference between a chatbot and a femme-coded woman" over a teletype connection.
(Turing was very gay and had a sex-segregated education and then work life: he basically didn't know women and his alienation is palpable. But today's techbros don't have any such excuse, and the emphasis on femme-coded AI is ... telling.) https://mastodon.xyz/@pmorinerie/112506480363973206
