He doesn't just support Israel in the genocide. His wife FUNDED the astroturf pro-genocide protestors who violently attacked the UCLA encampment. should not be allowed anywhere near a campus and students.

@ai6yr That horrible company that stole all the rebate money when the turf replacement program first came out in Los Angeles by throwing down weed fabric and gravel in everyone's front yards in the valley really screwed the pooch for everyone else.

Now every aspect of the program is micromanaged by the city, down to how many plants you must have (i.e too many to allow for growth)

@ai6yr They did add one cool thing though. To get the rebate you now need to include either rain barrels or a rain garden feature to infiltrate roof water.

Space Weather Watch: An EXTREME (G5, Kp=9) geomagnetic storm is currently in progress.

This is the strongest solar storm to impact Earth since October 2003.

If the storm holds at this strength, aurora may be seen as far south as southern Texas, Florida, and Mexico this evening.

DemocracyNow: Two accidents on Boeing 737 passenger jets took place Thursday. In Senegal, a 737-300 caught fire & skidded off the runway as it was preparing to take off, injuring at least 10 people. In Turkey, a tire on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft burst upon landing. The 190 people on board were safely evacuated. Just 1 day earlier, a Boeing 767 FedEx plane landed at Istanbul airport without its front landing gear deployed, its nose hitting the runway.

The trio of accidents come as another whistleblower formerly employed by Boeing’s largest supplier, came forward. Santiago Paredes told reporters he used to regularly find up to 200 defects on fuselages that were being delivered to Boeing.

@ai6yr I'm more worried about orbital impacts. Specifically the starlink constellation that on average needs to make about 150 collision avoidance maneuvers per day. 25,000 every 6 months and growing.

AlJazeera: Patients and staff are being forced out of hospitals across #Rafah as Israel’s attacks on the city intensify, leaving many sick and wounded Palestinians with no way to be treated.

“We have no beds, no hospitals to refer [people to], especially for critical patients,” Palestinian doctor Mohammed Zaqout said.

“Al-Najjar Hospital is out of service. And the Kuwaiti Hospital [in Rafah] is just for trauma and emergency,” he added.

Israeli forces are carrying out operations to blow up buildings in the east of Rafah city, our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic are reporting.

Intense artillery shelling targeting the Sabra and Zeitoun neighbourhoods of Gaza City has also been reported.

AlJazeera: There has been gunfire exchanged between Israeli forces and Palestinian resistance groups in the occupied #WestBank city of Nablus, the Wafa news agency reports.

Israeli forces stormed the Rafidia neighbourhood of the city and raided student housing, beating and arresting two students, according to Wafa.

Israeli raids and settler violence have also been reported elsewhere in the occupied West Bank in the following locations:

The city of Hebron and the town of Yatta to the south.

The town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.

Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian crops east of Ain al-Hilweh in the northern Jordan Valley, Wafa reports.
