But this pictured design packs flat, if you don't mind some assembly in the field.

It has to be a pretty stout machine to twist.. if the sheet is thick enough gauge to stand up to truck tires.

I think the likely failure here is the sharp corners inside the slots, where the stress concentration will crack the metal. So the two-triangles version may collapse if the tire encounters the upward pointing plate sideways.

    I'm looking for an audio file to text converter. I want to feed an audio file into an app and have it automagically output a text file. Nothing fancy, just quick and reasonably accurate. Thanks for any tips.

    My experience is several years old, but local processing options had much worse accuracy than cloud-based options.

    Do you need it to work offline (not cloud dependent?)

    Do you want a GUI or command line untility (something you can script)?

    I'm not at my computer right now, but I think Speech Note can open existing audio files (and even select specific audio streams in a video container.)

    I think the folks using AI to generate a quick buck are the easiest to spot. But other folks playing a longer game of influence with their bots may be much harder to detect.

    @nyrath this is an old and vague memory, so I'm skeptical it's not something I dreamed later: Beepers turned me to atheism.

    My mom was a physician and carried a beeper since the late 70s or early 80s. At that time beepers had one noise at max volume and no vibration mode. The priest did not want the interruption and told my mom to attend mass in the "cry room".

    My young brain decided that the priest was prioritizing church over saving lives of patients. And that seemed wrong.

    The hot-jupiter WASP-39b orbits its star every 4 days and is one of the most studied exoplanets. JWST recently helped discover large quantities of methane, water vapor, and CO2 in its atmosphere. But measuring the size of the planet has been tricky. That's because the light curve coming from the star is flatter than it should be, with the star's edge obscuring the planet's true size. Once you consider the star's magnetic field, the planet's size is easier to calculate.
