Okay, the time has come for me to part ways with the BarcoReality 909. it takes up too much of my workspace, which is to say more than half of it. It's a beautiful, working CRT projector capable of 1080p (and even beyond) via VGA/RGBHV. It also weighs 200 lbs.

If you know of anyone interested... let me know. Problem is that it is hard to move. I would consider delivering it in the American Southwest, but further than that will involve a crating company and LTL freight, ballpark $1500.

A cool thing about alt text on Mastodon is that it works with the translation feature. Once you've translated a post the alt text beneath will change to your preferred language also.

So by adding alt text to your images not only are you adding accessibility for visual impairments, you're also adding language accessibility. Neat!

The same post, but now the Mastodon "Translate" button has been clicked and it shows "Translated from Nederlands using DeepL.com". The screenshot is still in Dutch, but now the alt text is translated into English, revealing that the article was about solar panels.

Justice #Merchan says he believes that the #jury wants him to repeat a significant portion of the #JuryInstructions.

He will read pages 6-35.

Each page yesterday took him just a little more than a minute, so this will take >30 mins.

Between that & the testimony readbacks, also expected to take >30 mins, there will likely be >1 hour this morning w/the jury in the courtroom, not actively deliberating.

I had given up on pleading for more alt-text but I'll try again!

Please add alt-text to your photos/pictures it only takes a minute and does not have to be fancy. My policy is not to boost images without alt-text and I am not the only one.

This is one of the cultural things I like about Mastodon, the inclusiveness. Please don't ruin it.
