I can only speak for myself on this. I know I would never consciously make a woman feel uncomfortable or unsafe in any way shape or form. I would feel mortified if I knew any women felt unsafe around me. I take steps to ensure this such as being extremely disinterested in anything except my phone if I’m on an elevator with a woman I don’t know. I hate being lumped in with the horrible men who do these things to women.

All I can do is be an ally. I amplify women’s’ stories.

Wait, what!?

The new transfer rules make sense from a sporting perspective. But to say that they do anything other than prioritize sports over academics requires a level of mind bending that I can't seem capable of completing.

And yet that's how they're selling it.

Division 1 college sports have nothing to do with academics. The earlier we all realize this the better. A lot of people (universities, TV, coaches, the NCAA) are making a lot of money off the backs of cheap labor (athletes). It became a labor/employment situation when those in power decided to turn college athletics into a money making scheme. So the athletes deserve to be treated as at-will employees. Free education is a benefit like a retirement plan.

I can’t find anything to disagree with. Those kids and their coaches deserve to be in a safe place. The Mayor of Coeur d’alene and the governor can say all the words they want, but the hate mongers have a haven that’s at least as old as I am. They’re there. They’ve been there. And they’ll stay there as long as they’re allowed.

The biggest thing I took from this article is the visual representation of an oblate spheroid. Thats the term used to define the shape of an American football in the official NCAA rule book.

However, an American football looks more like a triaxial ellipsoid. And now I don’t know if any American football has ever been a legal ball.
