Assolutamente non io che oggi dovevo semplicemente scrivere due (2) #emoji di bandiera di nazione in un file di testo, e finisco in un mezzo #rabbithole perché, nonostante io abbia cercato e cercato, nel picker di emoji di #Windows (quello che si apre con Win+Punto) quelle bandiere non le ho trovate. 🕳️
Il fatto è che non ne ho trovata nessuna, perché non ci sono. Non solo #Microsoft non le ha inserite nel selettore, ma non le ha incluse nemmeno nel font, e quindi al posto di quelle si vede (in genere) il carattere Unicode che rappresenta il codice di nazione. Potete verificarlo anche voi aprendo in Firefox una pagina web che come questa lista emoji, notando che tutte le bandiere delle #nazioni fanno fallback al set del browser (Twemoji). 🙀
Dopo aver cercato sul web — rigorosamente specificando site:reddit.com, perché facendo senza usciva solo e soltanto SEO spam, io non ce la faccio letteralmente più — ho scoperto (stando alle speculazioni) che questa è stata una scelta ben intenzionale di Microsoft, per evitare qualsiasi tipo di #controversia con tutti quei #governi internazionali molto più paxxerelli persino del nostro. Non si sa perché proprio loro dovrebbero avere problemi e tutte le altre aziende no, in realtà, perché di dichiarazioni ufficiali non se ne trovano a riguardo… però probabilmente le controversie passate (che sono effettivamente avvenute, persino nel millennio passato) gli hanno fatto dire “aight, no #flags for no one lmao, L + stop bullshitting us with #geopolitics!!!“. 😵💫
…In realtà stavo iniziando a pensare ad un grosso #complotto, perché prima di cercare online ho notato che mancano tutte le nazioni, ma le bandiere che appartengono al sottogruppo “colore e identità” ci sono tutte… eccetto quella transgender (🏳️⚧️). In realtà, è semplicemente che ho Windows Server 2022, che è praticamente Windows 10, che è congelato ad una vecchia versione dello standard; Windows 11, stando alla pagina di Emojipedia, include anche quest’ultima bandierina. Pazienza, la storia sarebbe stata più divertente in quel caso, avremmo potuto urlare alla cenzura ecc… 😓
(In realtà, ancora, manca anche la bandiera delle Nazioni Unite (🇺🇳), ma credo questo non sia strano, e ha senso, considerando lo scenario… però lo specifico, perché Emojipedia la lista in quella sottosezione lì, ma io in genere l’ho sempre vista messa in mezzo alle varie nazioni sui picker di altre piattaforme)
