Is it possible to block communities by keyword

I have a problem now that there are some active communities that I have no interest in seeing on my feed. And new ones keep popping up so I have to go in and block them individually. They all have similar keywords and it would be nice if we could block communities based on regexp or a keyword

Does anyone else feel more engaged with the community here compared to reddit?

I'm realizing I hadn't actually voted on posts or comments in a long time, perhaps years. Between vote fuzzing and massive vote counts, it began to feel pointless to throw an upvote or downvote into the fray. Like how is my downvote supposed to count against over 1000 upvotes?...

What was lemmy like before all the reddit refugees?

I discovered Lemmy as a reddit alternative once they introduced the api changes, and from what I understand, so did most of the current users. So I was wondering what was Lemmy like before that? Did any notable things or inside jokes happened? If you are one of the old users are you happy with this growth? Is there anything...

How difficult is it to be a moderator?

I'm a reddit refugee considering spinning up a lemmy instance. I've always been a lurker and I want to be more active in this new community. My biggest deterrent in starting an instance and adding some communities (I know I don't have to have communities on an instance, but I want to!) is moderating users and posts. How much...

Why would reddit want to charge the app developers instead of the users?

This is something I can’t seem to figure out. Let’s just assume that 3rd party apps are the reason reddit is losing money. So, it would make sense that reddit wants to start charging for their API access. But why is the burden on the apps and not the users?

Possible to sync subscribed communities across instances?

if you have multiple accounts on different Lemmy instances is there a way (a script maybe) that can sync your subscribed communities across the different accounts? say for example, your main instance goes down and you need to login to a different instance but want to see all the same community content

Looking for a Method to Subscribe to All Communities on Multiple Lemmy Instances

I'm running a standalone Lemmy instance, but I'm not planning to develop or grow a community on said instance since it's mostly to practice my infra and DevOps skills. I would, however, like to subscribe to all communities on other instances, for example, on lemmy.world and several others. Is there an easy way, or can I only...

Isn’t it funny how Reddit and Twitch are both screwing up.

Its funny how both Reddit and Twitch announce API or policy changes that creates mass discussion within their respective communities regarding longevity and user experience. Both companies are doing shitty things for the $$$ and simultaneously creating mass exodus(es?) to other platforms....
