I’m assuming it’s a lot less fun than it sounds

DannyBoy,

Worst water gun fight ever.

assembly, to world in South China Sea: Philippines says China attacked supply vessel with water cannon

China really needs to chill out with these crazy claims. They are not making friends in the region and putting everyone on the defensive.

meleethecat,

I don’t think they’re trying to make friends.

Yeeeey sea settlers. The best timeline. MMM!! /s

tygerprints, to globalnews in South China Sea: Philippines says China 'once again' attacked supply vessel with water cannon, causing injuries and damages

I'm ashamed of the fact that I once visited China and enjoyed it. Of course I shouldn't admit I enjoyed it, but at the time it looked like China was becoming more civilized and intelligent, now it's gone the other way.

I don't think we should tolerate chinese or russians. I don't think we need to. In America, we proved we could blow away entire cities with fat boy bombs - we practically decimated Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I think we definitely can and should do that again by all means.

We used to be courageous enough to hurt our enemies and blow them out of existence. We need to return to those times again.

0x815,

I’ve also been to China in the past. It’s a great culture with great people, some of them who left the country and now live in the West are among our friends, and they share our ‘critical’ view of their home country.

It’s a tragedy what happens there now and I might never go there again. I don’t think we must be ashamed for having enjoyed it, though. I more feel sorry for the people there.

tygerprints,

I don't feel that way about it anymore. A great culture? Not so much. The country is filthy. People hang their laundry all over the fucking place. They live in dirt farms. It was ugly and unclean. And people there spit all the time to get the filth of pollution out of their lungs.

I've been to open sewers in Mexico that had more beauty in them than the entire nation of China. It's a cesspool.

suppenloeffel,

That’s certainly one of the takes of all time.

Not even touching the problematic ethics here, you expect China and Russia to simply watch the nuclear warheads rain down on their cities and beg for forgiveness afterwards instead of retaliating?

That was only United States, not America as a whole. I would like people not to blame other countries or a whole continent for the things United States did.

tygerprints,

Who was placing any blame? I'm glad we did those things, whether it was the country or the continent or the whole damn fucking world, it needed to be done.

maculata, to globalnews in South China Sea: Philippines says China 'once again' attacked supply vessel with water cannon, causing injuries and damages

China is an asshole.

Mikufan, to globalnews in South China Sea: Philippines says China 'once again' attacked supply vessel with water cannon, causing injuries and damages

Man someone get some Torpedos in their ships.

conquer4,

Even if without warheads, start putting holes in their hulls.

Mikufan,

Nah just sink em straight up.

monsieur_jean,

Funny, the Chinese internets say the same thing... About the Philippino ships.

Mikufan,

Funny that china just removes everything saying otherwise… “internet” lol

US news media? Lie about America’s geopolitical rivals? Say it ain’t so…

My partner is a refugee because she criticized her government on Facebook. Really has opened my eyes to the ways in which life could be a lot worse. I’m grateful that that can’t happen here (USA), though I worry about the future.

I hope to live to see the day where the CCP is thrown out of power and Chinese people finally have a real say in their government.

Well, as a Canadian, I think they made a good choice of destination - Welcome neighbor! But, seriously, fuck China for bullshit like this.

PenguinTD,

I already post a bit before and got down vote a lot and I laugh in their face and tell them to stick their fingers somewhere private if they check the news a month later. And no, it’s not even a month, the stock crash happened in less than a week and soften stance “open for communication” quote arrived shortly after.

They are trying to do this to prop some social distractions as always but this time, also like past couple times involving youth and video games, back fires hard and eventually achieves very little. (for general population) But hey, it generate enough buzz and make them distracted from other economical issues.(like crash of their builder mega company, compare to the short market crash of video game sector, lol. )

Yes, rage baiting works.

ReallyActuallyFrankenstein, to canada in Parents of Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Agnes Chow who fled to Canada questioned by police

So it begins. China’s (in this case, through their now -complete control over Hong Kong) first move is usually harassing family of political refugees.

parpol, to canada in Parents of Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Agnes Chow who fled to Canada questioned by police

She should be wary of Chinese police kidnapping in Canada. They’ll probably threaten her with imprisoning her parents too. I hope she finds support.
