This may be the shortest service of a Gacha game yet. The global version of Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 Miracle Live! is set to launch in February 2024, but end in May 2024.
@chikorita157 Yeah this was definitely only released because they had to. I wish we could get an inside look at what went on in the global team. Some things are easily explained by the shutdown, like the LP candies expiring immediately (their expiration date was set to the same date they expired on JP in December, so they were likely just copy-pasting event/Free Tour stuff, probably because they changed the content release schedule because of EOS.) But I wonder how bigger glitches like the hourly glitch happened. Also gotta wonder what development's been like even farther back, for global to have been delayed for so long. When did they realize that they were working on a dead game, and did that make things much worse? I have so many questions about what I imagine must've been a pretty hellish project to work on.
@yon@chikorita157 Yeah, it's unfortunate. I feel like the global team cared about the game; clearly a lot of effort went into things like translations. (All the song descriptions alone must've been a huge effort.) And, I suspect that they changed the schedule for content releases after EOS was announced, since we're getting later events from JP, and special gacha banners not in JP that have older event cards, so they found a way to get as much content from JP to global as possible in its short lifespan. It's nice that they bothered to think that through, even as the whole game got killed from above. Must really suck to put all that effort in, and then it'll all be gone in a few months. :akko_sad:

First thing about Unit Koushien: it’s my first real major exposure to the music of the vtuber girls, and they’re great! The Cerise Bouquet, Dollchestra, and Mira-cra Park sets were so good! And they’re super good on stage. I’m impressed by how solid they already are live. #lovelive

Very sweet episode! It's nice seeing Yohane make more friends :nadeshiko_2: (I really like the touch of her always being slightly awkward in the group shots, like the jump up or the construction cheering. Reminds me of the Sunshine S1 opening, with everyone jumping down off a ledge and Yohane just getting unexpectedly tossed lol). And friendship seems to be part of the key to the staff, though apparently she also needs them to sing (Maru's symbol only appeared on the staff this episode.) Friendship + singing = magic staff power. Seeing her declare that she's home in Numazu after spending time with You, Kanan, and Maru was really heartwarming; it's so nice to see her grow like this :zerotwoheart:

Just another day being comfy and happy with alternate universe Aqours... and then Lailaps starts being foreboding. This mix of cute fun and dark fantasy plot is still hitting just right for me, even though I don't want cute fun time to end right now. :akko_weary: Looking forward to seeing what next episode does with this!
Just saw an email, Rabuagain is closing down at the end of September. RIP to this great fan-run store which was really helpful for getting Love Live merch in the US (especially nesos).
I'm watching Day 1 tonight, and Day 2 probably some other time (or maybe tonight because I have no life outside of Love Live anyways). This is so exciting! :mexcitedmiku:
It'll be interesting watching #GenjitsuNoYohane as someone who's never seen #LoveLiveSunshine but I thought this first episode was solid. Not the most interesting but good enough, particularly with how much going back to your hometown is a plot point that resonates with me. Opening goes harder than it needs to, sounds like #symphogear shit. Looking forward to what the rest brings me.
@AWanderingSorcerer I'll be interested to hear what you end up thinking about the show as a whole. I feel like seeing Aqours characters again is definitely contributing to my excitement for the show, but it seems like it should be able to stand on its own.
