I'm picturing a side to side beat 'em up game like Final Fight, Streets of Rage, or River City Girls but the plot is about trying to maintain order in a crumbling post apocalyptic city. The waifus are from different gangs vying for power. Go over the top weird with them ASAP. The cardinal rule of character design is that every one of these women can beat you up. The high school malcontent with a baseball bat, the telekinetic one with pigtails, the werewolf, the lady cop, the gyaru with a chainsaw, and the yoga mom. They can all kick your ass.

To be honest, this game lasted a bit longer than I expected given all the outrage of them putting a male insert MC, which caused a lot of outrage from players. Who thought that was a good idea given the franchise having an all female cast. :neocat_facepalm:
But as always with all Gacha, it’s a hard market to get into since there is a lot of competition.
Just saw an announcement for a new #Gacha on CN that is the most #furry targeted game I've seen since that Kickstarter about stomping cities. The intro PV has 10 hot guys, then one woman, then another hot guy before doing some plot stuff and showing off fights and villains (also mostly hot guys). Oh, and did I mention they all have animal mascots so most vary from #kemono to #anthro?
I doubt it'll come to global or even get translated but this intro teaser video is fun to watch.
I tried out #Nikke for a few hours last night. I hadn't realized just how much I've been spoiled by playing #gacha games made by passionate people who have a vision they want to share and dedicate budget to polishing that vision. Nikke feels more like it's targeting investors and feature checklist junkies.

Is there an Azure Lane-esque #gacha game but where the #waifu s are #train s? Model train guys and railroad afficionados have to be a bigger market than battleship fans. Is it because #OpenTTD gameplay is harder to integrate with gacha than combat?
I've been playing the new Atelier gacha game for the past couple of days.
My first impression is that it has pretty high production values for a gacha game. It almost feels higher budget than a normal atelier game 😆 . Of course, this is skipping making full towns and dungeons... and movement, so they can spend the effort on other things.
I think it's supposed to be fully voiced. There were like 3 lines so far in the story that weren't, but that felt more like a mistake than intention. Even though I'm the type that will skip dialogue when I finish reading a line, I do appreciate hearing at least some of the lines. FV is still pretty rare for gacha games.
The game overall feels like a gacha game with Atelier trappings in it rather than an Atelier game with gacha elements. There is an alchemy system, but it's pretty simple. Traits are mostly tied to the character performing the alchemy and there doesn't really seem to be synthesis chains like previous games.
Interestingly, stamina is not used for story progression. It's used mostly for material gathering (leveling mats, mats for synthesis, etc.) There is a separate stamina for alchemy.
So far, it seems like an average gacha game with good production values, so I'll hang around for a while.
While people dunk on KLab on releasing SIF2 to Global just to have it killed off in three months, this brings a sad reality about Gacha games. You loose everything when the game finally shuts down. Basically, you basically throwing money into a firepit just for some rolls that don’t guarantee that you will get the character you want.
I wrote this editorial back in 2020 voicing my frustrations after Aniplex shut down the English Magia Record server after a year in service. I just became disinterested in Gacha in general and only maintain two, Magia Record JP and Uma Musume.

#Gacha has a new record for speed running EOS. Love Live 2 announced that it's opening pre-registration for a February launch. In the same tweet, they announce EOS in May.
Apparently EOS was already announced for JP so they can't exactly hide that it was going to happen to global but it's still funny.
This may be the shortest service of a Gacha game yet. The global version of Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 Miracle Live! is set to launch in February 2024, but end in May 2024.
