@jessamyn Yes, very deceiving from the bottom. More technically challenging than most of the trails I hike in the White Mountains.

@TimKStanton @jessamyn so popular b/c it is within 2.5 hrs of boston I think. Also the main trail is shortish and the big bare top makes for amazing views. There are a few Whites like that but not many

@msokolov @jessamyn Agree to all. And for me, the shorter distance translates to this type of hike being a simple day trip, vs an overnight one if I do the same type of hike with the Whites.

@TimKStanton @jessamyn I think Tecumseh is the closest 4000er to b-town (I think?) but it is a bit underwhelming at the top. At least when I went up it was foggy, so might not be a great point of comparison
