Though it basically follows the same route from downtown, and it's slower and more expensive than BART, sometimes I just want to be above ground and so I ride the 14R home.
Also, trolley busses kick ass. Who knows how much longer I'll be able to ride this pinnacle of transportation innovation? (Hopefully forever but we'll see)
I love when random memes I find just hit the nail on the head. Yes it's very important to live in a place with diverse and stimulating experiences and a variety of choices to explore. That's why I love living in dense and walkable cities with several transportation options and unique neighborhoods. Nothing kills your soul like driving the same 10 miles of highway through a suburb twice a day. Cities allow me to be spontaneous. Car dependence forces you into a rut.
Just came across this quote that also encapsulates the above sentiment in a really lovely way.
