mcc, I follow this strict rule on Letterboxd where I rate a movie three stars if I liked it. Four stars only if I really liked it, loved it. Five stars only if I loved it so much I would call it an all-time favorite. (Two stars is for a movie that I didn't dislike but wasn't satisfied with; one star only for movies I actually disliked. Out of 980 logged movies I only have seventeen 1s)
This makes me feel kind of guilty on those occasions I happen to watch a movie I liked, but which is obscure.
