For the past 10-15 years, we've had a pair of Ortlieb classic Back Roller panniers (40 liter capacity). They've been good to us, and gotten plenty of use, but there's two of us and only two of them. My wife & I share them, and have used other crappier panniers for a time, but those things are just rock solid and great.
I decided to take advantage of a Black Friday sale and order another pair, since she often uses both when she goes to work. Fedex delivered them to some other random place.
By the time I got refunded by the vendor, all the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales were over. I was pissed (and still without any panniers). I found a pair of Back Roller Pro Classics on sale, and got those instead. 70 liter capacity. They are amazing. So amazing that my wife now uses them, and I'm stuck with the 10-15 yo panniers.
