@atpfm Where do I post a question for #askatp? My M1 MBP's fan runs very loudly whenever it's "docked" (plugged in and connected to my Thunderbolt Display), but is completely silent when on battery - and I can't notice any performace differences. Is there a way to stop the fan when it's plugged in? (I understand that may mean throtttling its performance, but that may be OK…)
@jcgarza You can find some fan control apps that will let you adjust your fan speeds. But they’ll also show you your temperatures, and you may find the fans spinning up because things are getting hotter.
