@micahflee I'm no fan of Tucker's (to call him an asshat would be an insult to asshats), but could this set a bad precedent? What about the folks who have interviewed leaders of Al Qaeda or any other dictator anywhere?
@djotaku yeah I agree. It doesn’t look like the EU reps are discussing this because he’s interviewing Putin, but because he’s acting as a propagandist for Putin
@geppetto They want to sanction Tucker not because he interviewed Putin but because he's "a propagandist for the most heinous regime on European soil and the one which is most dangerous to our peace and security" -- many other western journalists have requested interviews with Putin, and they've all been turned down by Putin
