Can anyone tell me what kind of tree this is?

I need to know in case I'm ever able to buy a house and land, because I am absofuckinglutely cultivating a tree like this for my crow friends.

@neurovagrant its hard to see any bark on the trunk or limbs but i would guess a species of weeping birch in the winter hybernation season.

very old very happy

homelessjun,

@neurovagrant i am in love with this nightmare tree. i can easily imagine it visiting the neighbours, patrolling the neighbourhood, every night, especially in the fog.

@neurovagrant probably weeping willow or weeping cherry or something like that, hard to tell without detail & leaves. some mulberry grows like that too, i had one behind my yard as a kid, delicious for both kids and birds, but they make bird poop absolutely vile AND purple

i've also seen various normal trees (and once a telephone pole) covered in parasitic wisteria that look a lot like that when the vines are winter-bare

@neurovagrant the alt text said "willowy" so I googled "scary willow" and methinks black willow? Hopefully an actual tree person will just know :P
