Was out and about three times this week, but with judicious use of a mask. Thought to do a COVID test heading into the weekend, just in case.
Sinuses are a little irritated today actually, but prob allergens. Glad to still be negative. A good stretch of prob seven years since I've had any sort of respiratory bug. Hope to keep it up.
Well, what I thought might be a bit of allergies on Friday has worked away all weekend in good old fashioned head-cold mode. More nuisance than anything.
Still testing, just in case, but thankful it's just a runny nose rather than anything chest resident, & without fever. We both have it, which makes it easier than having to divide up the rooms.
It's been so long since I had a cold, our cough-drop supplies are all best before 2019 or earlier.
@ottaross My son started with a mild head cold last week. This week he's still home and it's full blown - moved to his chest now. We are so far so good, although I feel a little off 100%. Apparently going around his class at school. He is almost never I'll, so it's new for us and him
@Aussiemandias a couple of friends tell us they had it too so we had to defer meeting up with them last week. For them and us thankfully it's been just in the sinuses and they report being better after about five days. Hope it doesn't spread further in your home.
@ottaross Thankfully, the rest of us in the house didn't get whatever cold the boy had, which is some kind of miracle. He's back at school. I was told by the teachers that strep is doing the rounds right now.
@Aussiemandias That's a relief. Strep is pretty scary lately it seems.
I remember having strep in my 20s and it was the most miraculous medicine experience for me - I got some penicillin and it was gone in under an hour. Dramatic.
