This seems like a real problem for the GOP, which is trying to use this as a basis to impeach Biden. But since they are utterly disconnected from reality, I am guessing they just double down and keep going.
I've been watching for signs of that. I think congressional Rs are instead going with "This is all the FBI's fault! They should have told us that informant was a liar! This happened because the FBI is an evil deep state plot, and they must be investigated."
I'm sure GOP voters are so disconnected from reality that they still think "the Hunter Biden scandal" is a real thing. But... at least the impeachment won't happen.
@barney OK but why won't the impeachment happen? If it's a top priority for Trump (it is, because it helps taint the jury pools in his many cases) then it's a top priority for the Treason Caucus in the House including the Speaker. So if they can manage to count votes, they can shove it through (for it to die in the Senate of course, but that doesn't matter to the propaganda value).
