Congratulations to the inspiring #Dr.BruceMiller, who received the Susan Newhouse and Si Newhouse Award of Hope for his lifetime of research into #FTD (#frontotemporaldementia). His brilliance and empathy have touched so many, myself included. At the end of my memoir with Bruce, I wrote about how he was the doctor I wish my father, who had #early-onset #Alzheimer's, had known.
It really did. Given the circumstances, not the easiest read from an emotional point of view.
But just reading the anecdotes and the explanations gave me a certain sense of community and I've learned a fair bit. We're not the only ones having gone through this.
I'm not particularly good at recognizing my own feelings, let alone putting them down in text. But I could recognize my feelings through your experiences.
