Well, that didn't go as planned. Had an email hosting account at DomainFactory, along with a domain. A canceled the email hosting and guess what happened? DomainFactory removed the whole order, sent my domain with all its DNS entries into nirvana.

The domain is paid for, yet they think it's ok to remove all DNS entries until I actively decide to ask them to move the domain to a new order.

WTF?

@alexanderschnitzler maybe they learned that from Google. Canceled google for business some years ago and had paid annual, so I thought cancel the contract and then use it until the end. Google canceled everything immediately, and I needed to contact the support to get backups ;)

@markus306 It‘s different here. Domain and Mail Hosting are two different orders/packages. My domain wasn’t closed but they removed all dns entries and made all config inaccessible to me.
