@ai6yr My parents reported that there were the usual array of “Google Maps says this road goes through here” incidents with people in rental cars getting stuck in deep mud and the remnants of snow.
@ai6yr It’s hard to explain what it was like seeing this much traffic in our brave little state. The road that goes by the place I rent during the week saw car after car after car for 6+ hours after the eclipse; I usually see one a minute or so. Friends who were on the road reported 45 minute drives taking nearly 2 hours. We never, ever, ever see traffic on the interstate and it was bumper to bumper stop and go for hours. It was like nothing else.
@JosephAndriano@ai6yr Well, I can verify that. We were in that traffic. Due to United moving our flight schedule we needed to get to Boston. We left our friends house at Waterbury Center at 9pm and got to Boston at 3am. Rough calc says around 10k cars on I89 between Burlington and the NH line at any given time. That congestion went from about 4pm to well past midnight 😳
