@mcc oof. Given the hacks they’ve dealt with recently I’m guessing it’s only somewhat a choice (beyond the choices that led to the situation that made them hackable)
@platypus I'm not necessarily blaming the city of Toronto or the TPL but rather the international 250-year chain of decisions concerning copyright and how information is displayed on touchscreen computers that created a situation where an authentication server going down for three and a half hours could leave me unable to read an ebook file already present on my phone
